Thanks Bill yeah not all songs have to tell a story....some are just frivolous fun, a chance to boogie and a bit of a laugh.

HIDee Bro Dougie, Mzs Glyn & Kim, Bro Larry, Mz Sharla & Bro Billy!
"What WOULD Jimmy Buffet Do?" Why, he'd order up a Margarita & Sing & Dance Along..& prolly join-in the Conga Line...I'd spect!
This was conceived as a Typical "Party Song", with a Buncha Jungle Drums, & Not-too-much-Expected in "The Music Dep't". As-is-Gettin'-to-be-USUAL Now, Big Jimmie Hit It OUTTA-The PARK-WITH His UN-Expected Music & Vox. (He DID Warn Me he WAS gonna Make it "A Waltz"...heh-heh...early-on...but I've already learned to just sit back & Watch Miracles HAPPEN with this guy!) (Like when he made what I'd thought was gonna be a Typical Pub Song..."Let's Play With DNA"..into a Wildly FUN Reggae Number in our Previous Co-)
Jimmy woulda prolly used the Usual Steel Drums on this one..but I like BIG Jim's Sax Part & that Wild Big Band-y Feel..to REALLY get this one A-JUMPIN'..to New UN-Expected Excitement!
(I AM sorty Hopin' he'll dub-in some Live "PARTY SOUNDS" on top of those fadin'-out Drums at the Tail..so this Party Keeps-ON a-kicking even after the Band's goin'-mute.)
Thanks One & All for the Great, Kind Commentaries! "Hats-Off" again to Big Jim & Mz Beth for making this One Heck of a Fun CO-! Big Hugs, Stan

This woke me up! I loved it. It did make me think of Disney or George of the Jungle. Loved this line, "do you feel a Little sweaty, Here's a night you won't forgetty." Jim you did a great job matching music to this fun lyric by Beth and Stan (ladies first, right Beth?)

Dang, Jim...if this isn't fun, I don't know what is!! Is the lyric an in depth study of story telling? Nope..but who cares? The music and vocal character of the song sell it as is. with some songs, I want a nicely told story with a great opener, an evolving scenario and then a resolution.
Well, this AIN'T one of those songs!
This just a barrel of fun and that's all I need form this one. I just want to be entertained and this one sure does get the job done.
Great listen! Kudos all around!
Alan

Thanks Al ....Yes some songs are just a bit of fun, a chance to dance or let your hair down and have a giggle. Spike Jones, Stan Freberg and more recently Weird Al (no relation?) all made a great living from such songs. There will always be a place for frivolity. On a serious note generally I think these type of songs are harder to write and pull off than the traditional ballads and pop songs.

Great work!!! This sounds really great!!! I listened twice and noticed some instrumentation the second go around that I missed the first go. I love it when that happens. It adds a new life to the song every time one listens. This is very well produced. I like the lyrics too. Great collab!!!
