Hi! Vinny from Indie Connect here. I just want to make you aware that besides our weekly and monthly music industry networking events, we now hold a weekly 'New To Nashville' workshop for anyone who wants to learn how the music industry works here. Whether you are new to town, just visiting, or have been here a while and just can't seem to make headway, this workshop is for you. We cover topics like: - How the industry works in general - An overview of the songwriting community - Music-related organizations - Networking opportunities - Valuable websites, publications etc. - Important events - Recording in Nashville - Performing in Nashville - Avoiding getting ripped off - and more! Get details at http://indieconnect.net/wordpress/?page_id=3609Thanks! I look forward to meeting you all soon! Have a spectacular day!

It sounds like an interesting and good idea. It seems to be a "business" type workshop versus a "writing" type workshop, which is great. However, since it is about the "business of Nashville" workshop, then I have to ask about the credibility factor. Are the leaders of the workshop Nashville pros who have actually gotten recent cuts, or are they publishers/producers/pluggers that have a good current track record?
No offense, but if I went to a workshop about navigating the "treacherous" waters of Nashville, I would be disappointed if the workshop leader was one who was stuck on a sandbar (LOL!).
