Hey out there - writers of song: As the New Year approaches on stealthy feet I am reminded that we have another songwriting workshop coming up on Tues Jan 5 for those songwriters who would like to share their work and get constructive some feedback. This free workshop is open to songwriters and lyricists. The Putney Library has been kind enough to host us for the past 4 years. We'll be meeting as usual at 7 pm on the first Tues of the month. Please bring an original song to share and typed lyrics for the group. We are usually about 7 -9 people. The Putney Library is located on Main St (route 5) in Putney (just off exit 4 on route 91) across from the Chittenden Bank. Please rsvp to this email to let me know you are coming so I can get a head count. Thanks. Facilitated by Derrik Jordan. hilljoy@sover.net http://www.derrikjordan.com

"Just Plain Folks is like a plow. A plow is a tool that can be used to help feed thousands of hungry people. But there are two groups of people on the planet. One group of people realizes that for the plow to help feed people, they must actually USE the plow to prepare the field to grow the food to feed the people. The second group of people are the ones who stand and stare at the plow and wait for the food to drop out of it. Of course that group is much smaller because those people all eventually starve to death." –Brian Austin Whitney
