Write a lyric that describes someone who is fairly well known from JPF and let's see if people can guess who he or she is. Write about the qualities they possess and give us clues that we can find from our interchanges on the forums and in the shout box. The lyrics can be funny or sweet or even serious but of course not hurtful in any way. Let several people try to guess before you give away the answer.

Hi Jean, I wrote one quite a while ago and there have been lots of new members since I posted it. I will even give a link to the MP3. My only request is that the members who have been here a while hold their guesses if they remember this one. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=812414&songID=6490654My Friend You and I have walked the edge Out past the Milky Way We’ve wondered into madness But never had to stay We have been called crazy Most times by friends in jest But clinically to tell the truth We would have passed the test Though I’m not sure exactly--------------------------- {Chorus Where our paths will end You can write this down in stone You’ll always be my friend Turnaround 4 bars You have been saved by your God More than once by your wife I never have been really sure What keeps me in this life Are words like these my purpose Is writing why I’m here A voice to speak for those who can’t To bring joy or a tear Though I’m not sure exactly--------------------------- {Chorus Where our paths will end You can write this down in stone You’ll always be my friend Turnaround 4 bars Different roads at different times----------- {Bridge Each reaching for one goal A place to rest, an ease, an end For our immortal soul Instrumental break- 8 bars Now I’m not sure exactly--------------------------- {Chorus Where our paths will end But this I know for certain You’ll always be my friend Yes you can write this down in stone You’ll always be my friend You’ll always be my friend Copyright 2007 John W. Hi Jean,
That's good, the lyrics are posted on the site but if you want me to post them here I will. The clues are there...

Go ahead and post them here. Some people have dial up and it's hard on them to click around too much.

He's our mentor He's our founder Doesn't flounder from hard work His to do list piled high He could use himself a clerk
He's a mover He's a shaker Draws a line into the sand Shows the stalkers to the door When their posts get out of hand
He's a giver Not a taker No mistake he does his part And the reason JPF Somehow somewhere got it's start
He's a traveler He likes touring And exploring other lands Visits Chapters round the globe Seeking music, watching bands
He's a counselor He's a bouncer Never seen without his hat Can you guess of whom I'm speaking Hope you do, he's got your back!

Hi Lynn,
I like it, but you made it just a little too easy to guess. Now you have to put it to music and get the JPF choir to do it at the next awards show.

HIDee Mz Jeanie B!
Here's a Little "Hat's Off'er"....
"THE CUTEST 3-YR-OLD YOU EVER SAW!"
She Looks Like Jackie She Writes Some..Wacky (Especially when She Works With Me..)
She Hasn't Bungled Our Song 'bout Jungles (Tho "Explodin' Seagulls, Now, Are History!)
(CHORUS) SHE'S THE CUTEST 3-YR-OLD..YOU EVER SAW! (Her Avatar's In Black-&-White!) Her Sense of Humor is "Quick On The Draw" Lord That Lovely Lady SURE Can Write!
She Lives Back-East To Say The Least (& Lots of Her's A Mystery)
Right Now, She's Nameless Someday: She's Famous (& I Hope SOME of It Rubs-OFF..On Me!)
(REPEAT CHORUS)
(BRIDGE) I Don't Dare Get a CRUSH On Her 'Cuz She's as Fragile..as..can be... But My Brain Gets a RUSH from Her (I Like Women Who Can OUT-Write Me!!)
(CHORUS OUT) And SHE'S THE CUTEST 3-YR-OLD..YOU EVER SAW (Her Avatar's in Black-&-White) Near Havaad Yaard, I bet..She Paaks Her Caa? &..LORD, That Lovely Lady Sure CAN Write!!!
(I'll Bet She's BLUSHIN'?) But Lord that LOVELY LADY SURE Can WRITE!

I know, I know...hey I got Stan's in the first line LOL (good one Stan and I looooved your bridge) I think the challenge here will not be writing it per se but keeping it vague enough to keep inquiring minds guessing. Fun and novel challenge Jean!!

It is a goodun' Stan, and she is a sweet lady. If that 3 year old grows up anything like her it will be a better world. Now you and Lynn need to musicate them.

Well, I think I may have given it away, but here is one.
Oh, What A Man
Oh, what a man, so good with his hands, he really knows how to use 'em! He can pluck great ideas out of thin air. And He shows that he cares just by brushing his hair. In a way, he's a little like Samson Oh, what a man!
Oh, what a man! He does what he can for those all around him. His heart is so big he cares if others get hurt He is so self-assured He could even wear a skirt. His life is his canvas. Oh, what a man!

I actually started writing one, probably about the same time you worked on yours, but then felt really bad, because you have to know things about the person, and I felt limited, so I only came up with the chorus to this "Willie Nelson" country-style song:
She's a poster by day with a Taylor by night A mother of an artist and an artist.... in her own write.
But that was it - then I got stumped.

(I'll Bet She's BLUSHIN'?) But Lord that LOVELY LADY SURE Can WRITE! HA! Might I take a guess on this one? Very very good Stanerooski. I'm printing this out for sure to lord over my family!! And thanks too to Lynn, John, Jean, and Tom for your kind assessments. FYI Tom I was just playing "The Broken Record" the other day. It really is good. Maybe I can talk to Joe W. about burning a few more copies for any interested parties... Thank you again Stan, and no worries -- this broad hasn't blushed in decades (could be the Botox -- LOL, only kidding!).... xoxo, Beth

Y'know, "blushing with Botox" may be a line that needs a song to go with it.

I wait & I wait for the retort as promised But I know she's swamped so I just tossed this out there to stir up the pot I'm SORRY, THATS ALL I GOT

I wrote this back in 2002 inspired by a conversation on a JPF chat...
This was written to be done in the same way "Big John" is. the first verse has a different structure to the rest If it needs changing I can work on it.
Dangerous Dan By Noel Downs Copyright (4 March 2002)
Dangerous Dan, Was a powerful man, Though a stubby five foot two. He came into town, Dirty and brown, Needing a woman or two.
Dangerous Dan
Ria, Ricky and Tink, Heard Dan’d come in, Collectively known, As the sisters of sin, Wasn’t a man, They couldn’t tame, For his gold, They’d prove their claim,
Dangerous Dan
They wanted his gold, They were gunna buy mink, But they made a mistake, Gave him demon Drink, Dan played for a bit, While they stroked his fur, Then gave them a stake, Made those kitty cats purr,
Dangerous Dan
Well Dan went wild, Sowing his oats, Made short work, Of a herd of goats, Nothing was safe, Not even the sheep, The football team, Couldn’t sit for a week.
Dangerous Dan
The sisters of sin, Had all been tamed, The football team, Permanently maimed, Dan left town, Not a moment too soon, Nine months on, There was a baby boom,
Dangerous Dan.
Dangerous Dan.

My Tribute on the engagement of two JPFers
My apologies to Kris Kristofferson, It’s to the tune of Bobby McGee
Busted foot and lonely heart By Noel Downs 7 Aug 01
Busted foot and lonely heart, It always seemed the same, Cooking a gourmet dinner, Just for me. Then Bobbie stepped into my life, And eased away my pain, And I knew there could be, Two for tea.
Well I’ll just keep on cooking, My way from here to heaven, With Bobbie’s smile, To blow away my blues, And my gimpy foot a tapping time, Bobbie singing sounds divine, We’ll write ourselves a love song, Just for two.
Gourmet cooking’s a lot more fun, When you’re brewing up for two, Just like writing songs, When you’re in love. There’ll be no blue tomorrows, Like those yesterdays, There’s heaven closer here, Than above
A place just out of Nashville, With a studio and range, We’ll write some songs, And create ourselves some dreams. On broad wood porch in the afternoon We’ll sing up those tunes, Bobbie, Me, the crickets, And the moon.
Gourmet cooking’s a lot more fun, When you’re brewing up for two, Just like writing songs, When you’re in love. There’ll be no blue tomorrows, Like those yesterdays, There’s heaven closer here, Than above

Thanks for posting this, Steven. Sorry I am late with this reply. I have been busy getting our school's Christmas Program ready. It's done now and I am on vacation so I can spend some time on the boards.
I have no idea who your mystery person is except that the subject is female. Can you writer in more clues?
