It's the weekend. A lot of folks have church on Sunday and family activities going on either or both days. That could be the answer. I also know several regulars who go straight to the MP3 or Lyric forums...that's the pages they have saved in their favorites. They often don't see the other forums on their visits.
I am very pleased to be a nominee for the second staright awards cycle. it's a very nice feeling to have your efforts acknowledged by your colleagues and industry peers. So, thank you to those who thought my lyric was worth a nomination.

Congratulations to all the Lyric And Video Nominees! ... Although there were less lyrics entered..I thought so many of them were strong contenders....so I'm honored (and THRILLED)to be nominated again this year.
Thank you to all who thought "I Want To Run Beneath The Raindrops" was worthy...
I was surprised, but thrilled to be nominated! I second what Kaley said about there having been some really strong contenders. Congratulations to all the lyric and video nominees! It's been such a blessing to be a part of JPF.
Hi! I just got back from Irish fest in LaCrosse, WI. I didn't have time to acknowledge... oh hell, I had time but, like, they had Killian's for $2! What's a girl to do? So, now all that's over and I'd like to take the time to say thanks to whoever voted for my song. I see that I am in such good company, a lot of people I have a great deal of respect for, and I feel really honored to be included. I've only been active on the boards for a little over a year but feel like I have made a lot of friends for life. Congrats to all and Rock On, JPF!
I was in Michigan since Thursday Brian. I just got in and saw the announcement. I am honored to be nominated among so many strong writers. Good luck to everyone who was nominated.

Ah.. finally a few peak their heads in.... we had to do a lot of scrambling to get the voting done in the midst of chaos and without the 10K judges that are working on the music categories but we were glad we finally got it done under the wire. We still need to get them all posted in 1 place to make it easier for folks to read. We're emailing text files around right now.
Anyone want to volunteer to round up the lyric nominees and post them on one long post? Like a new entry for each lyric and also number then 1 through 25 for judges to do online judging as well?
If you want to volunteer, all the lyrics are on that entry post still and they are also now posted nicely along with the song and album nominees on the nominees section (check it out if you haven't already seen it).
We need to do the same thing for the video nominees. So I'd appreciate any help that someone might offer on that.

Well, I have time to do that for the lyrics right now and only now, so I'll start on it, as I don't see you around to confirm details. I'll put it in the Lyric forum with the other stuff. If it's not how you want it, you can delete the thread...
Down in the Indianapolis forum are two threads with the lyric nominees, one unsorted, the other sorted by alpha. I'm figuring you can delete one and move the other where you need it.
Just got the JPF e-mail this morning about the nominees.
First, I've had a rough time finding time lately for songwriting, let alone hitting this board (lost my job last November), but seeing my name on the nominees list is certainly an excuse to come up for air and acknowledge Brian's incredible dedication to all of us here. Though Nashville is certainly more doable than the Left Coast for me (being in Grand Rapids, MI), I'll just have to be content to lie on this bed of pins and needles until the final results are in. This is my second appearance in the finals since the Lyric Award thing began (2003?).
Again, many many thanx to Brian, to all the judges, and to anyone who thought "Inside The Moment" was worthy of a nod.
Kewl!
(Bill R....didn't know you moved to NashVegas....we met at the roadshow in GR a few years back. Congrats!)
It was good to see you nominated again Tim. Sorry you can't make it down for the show. I'm sure it will be a good time. The jury is still out on whether the move to Nashville was a good idea or not but I do like the weather.
Big thanks to Doug for posting the Nominees in a single thread
