I read a thread here about songs with the same title, and thought it would be a good idea to dig out some songs that have become hits even after using the same title as a previous hit. I only have two to offer off the top of my head.
Stuck On You- Elvis Stuck On You- Lionel Richie
Of course they were around Twenty years apart. Ben

Two favorites of mine, both as different from each other as they can be, are:
Somebody To Love (Jefferson Airplane) and Somebody To Love (Queen)
I'm sure there are lots more. I'll think a little further on it.

How about three different songs all with same title The Power of Love.
Huey Lewis Frankie Goes To Hollywood Jennifer Rush/Celine Dion (they both had hits with the same song)

There have been three songs entitled "Paradise," one by Joni Mitchell, one by John Prine, and one by me. All three ended up becoming identified by other names.

but Jean anyone can Google! (although sometimes my cat has a 'paw bigger than key' problem which can produce interesting results)
You might as well say 'here they all are' game over! - Let's just call it 'thread etiquette'

Hmm so Badfinger crop up again. Here’s a little (not totally unrelated) trivia question? Which Badfinger song title is the same as an opening line of a Beatles track?
(Btw I only just thought of this question, so there may be more than one correct answer)

OK. I'll play. There was that that great rock-n-roll classic by Neil Sedaka called "Stairway to Heaven". Several years later some little obscure band whom nobody remembers today cut a song with the same title.

Here's some questions for ya...
Which song written by Kris Kristofferson starts with the title of a song written by Harlan Howard?
Which song written by Kris Kristofferson starts with the title of a song by Elvis?
Which Alabama song starts with the title of a song by Lacy J. Dalton?
Which Creedence song title starts off a Mel McDaniel country hit written by Bob McDill?
Hasn't any music been released since 1985? How come I know all these old bits of worthless info then?

Does "Why Me, Lord?" count, since Elvis recorded it?

There is also an 'Easy' by Airhead which happens to be one of my favourites I wonder: is there a band who's had two different hits with the same title? (there has to be at least one, right? ;)) Good question. The best I can come up with so far is: Freedom - Wham Freedom - George Michael Different songs, but same person

Does "Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)" by the Rolling Stones count? Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson and Electric Light Orchestra part 2 all recorded songs called "Heartbreaker". I don't know if any of them were hits or not. Is that the main criteria? Greg
