Herbie I have been surprised shocked and dumbfounded at some of the judging since I first came across Ourstage.....Fickle does not even come close...But hey...it is only a bit of fun. I have seen songs in the top ten for nearly the whole month plummet a hundred or so places in the last day....Happened to me a few times. I am still convinced that the system is flawed and sometimes the voters have a different agenda than picking the best song.

(Appropriate somehow...number 9...number 9...) Could have been any one of us and should have been someone else as far as I'm concerned, but it looks like we still got the JPF flag wavin' at OurStage.

I wish we could stop it right now while Mark is sitting at #1. Hey Mark Congrats! on that! Despite however that whole crazy system works there Do you know how hard it is still to drop into that #1 spot? I had an instrumental there once hit #3 near the end then get blasted back! Any how the BIGGEST kick I got out of posting there was the cool comments from complete strangers. They left me great remarks and they DIDN'T have too. Especially since I totally dismantled and restructured a classic. They could have hung me for that.. Any how that to me was special. I have remember to thank all 6 of them LOL.... Kidding! I do appreciate that! PS- In all the voting I never got to vote for or against myself even once. Do they still let you do that?

I thought there was some really nice work in the covers category and you are (just looked) at the top of the heap. I'd say that's a major accomplishment!

We won't be able to live with him now..Congrats to Mark! I looked at Ourstage this morning and realized that my version has the distinction of being dead last..of all the covers even. To quote my favorite philospher, Dr. Suess, "sometimes there are winners and sometimes there are losers, but we never can win against so many Poozers." That's from I Had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sollew..in case you have a hankering to read some Dr. Suess today. I did see that mine has over 200 plays though. I guess that means over 200 people think it sucked! OK - back to work.
