Good song. Well written and produced. Good luck with it. There are a lot of artists fo this one. Another Texas boy, I think his name is George comes to mind. Keep up the good work.

Caroline, I really like this song, nice play on words, we've all been there at one time or another, wanting to say how we felt but being too tongue tied to do so. Traditional country too, don't get much better than that.

KevinP,
Thanks so much for listening...and that was a very nice thing for you to say. Won't forget it.
We are thinking George Strait on this one....know anyone who knows the boy?? Also a couple of days ago, I got a single song contract on one I did a few months ago...A pretty good week....but rough for the last few months...so it was time for some good stuff to happen.
Always good to hear from you. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Kevin,
Thank you so much, that's so sweet of you to say.
Bob,
I think you've got a great idea. George would be an excellent singer for this, but I wouldn't pass up a pitch while waiting for the chance. There are so many great artists for this, and the feeling of having something pitch ready is amazing!!!
Everett,
I'm a sucker for traditional country! I love the feel, the sounds, the idea of something being simple and having an impact on the listener at the same time. Thanks so much for listening.
Kaley, Thank you for coming back for another listen. That's so nice of you to do. Fixing the bridge took a nano-second, but Mark tossed in the "so much to talk about" line for the chorus, and it fits so nicely, I was beside myself when I read what he'd sent, very exciting!!!! Thanks again!

Al, thank you for listening, again. This has been a really fun song to do. Well, I can't speak for the other two, but I loved every part of it. Not that I did more than write, but it's come out wonderfully!
Thank you for stopping in to listen and say such sweet things.

Caroline,
This is really a beauty - I love the sentiment. And the hook wasn't just clever for clever's sake. Very thoughtful. all around,

Hey Caroline, Janice and Mark
Based on the title, I thought this would be a break-up song where the singer was feeling sorry for themselves. I'm glad to see and hear that the singer is in a favorable light instead of a darkened state of mind. I also like the fact that this song is cliche-free and it has a different approach to an idea that has wide appeal.
I would say more men (since this is a male singer) will be bringing home flowers in the days to come. The production is suitable for pitching, vocals are out front and clear. I wish all of you the best of luck in pitching this one.
Ronnie

Hey Barry, Thank you for taking time to listen. We all appreciate the kind words!
Hi Ronnie, Thank you for listening, yes, I tried to avoid cliches. This actually started off as a couple having problems and a story about her being pregnant. But, it morphed into this and I'm glad it did.
Shayne, Keep your fingers crossed. We'll see where it goes. No matter what, I'm going to be proud of the production, it's turned out very well. Thanks for listening!

Hi Caroline,
A real smooth urban cowboy song for the ladies, I guess. Great lyrics, and just for the left leg on George Strait (as we say here in Denmark). It means that it's a perfect pitch :-)
Three comments from my listen.
I felt that you should include in the title the words "I'm in..." Every Word I never Said, because these words are vital to understand the point of the song. Well, the title gave me different expectations, but I guess it depends on whether you would want some suspence or not. I guess you probably won't as it is ment for commercial success :-)
Secondly, I felt the ending was a repeat too long, and I would probably want to fade 20 seconds off of the demo, if it were my song. Difficult when you have a great hook like this, I guess.
Third, I felt it would need a stronger instrumental hook, perhaps from a piano or something, because it tended to lack some dynamics. But, I don't know if this is absolutely required in a songdemo like this.
But congrats on the level of your craft, you're there!

Hi Mag, Thanks for takng some time to listen. You have some interesting points here. With this being a demo, I think the dynamics are fine, musically, but yes, piano would be a great sound. If Mark were the one cutting this, it would be up to him. I, haven't heard many GS songs with a piano lead in, but Keith Urban, now, he seems to like them. Work well with his voice too. The repeat at the end is a tag, it shouldn't make or break the song, but keeps it from ending abruptly, an engaged listener has a moment to collect themselves before the song ends. That, would be a decision of the artist to keep or sweep that part. I've heard many with, and many without. While I do like a tag on this song, I wouldn't be heart broken if it were swept and cut. The title, including "I'm in" well, it's "I meant" and the song is for sommercial use, can't have an extra long title. The hook is long, and so the title is as long as I can feel good about. It won't be an issue, as there are tons of songs where the title barely even appears in it. Kerosene and Good Directions are a few recent ones to make radio play and they have the title mentioned once, in the entire song. One in the middle on in the end, so I'm thinking that a memorable title, is all that's needed, not necessarily giving it away before listening.
OK, I'm thru, We all do appreciate the input you've given and a few points I will probably consider for my next song. Very good insight!

Yeah, this sounds ready to go. Doesn't even need a better singer, in my opinion. But I reckon the way for it to become a hit is to have someone famous sing it... Don't know a thing about what makes a hit but this sounds like one to me. Good work all around - best of luck with pitching it! Scott

Thanks Scott, thems very nice words you've got typed in here!
Yeah, I'm thinking that someone famous taking hold of it would make us some spending money. But, as for the singer, if I could get Mark on the radio, I'd be perfectly happy with this recording being played. He's got an awesome voice, and I'm happy with his singing it. I know, that's not the point of a demo, but he is so good.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by and taking a listen. we all appreciate the feedback. It's been very helpful.

This song sounds very good and you have taken the kinks out with your rework. Mark's singing is very professional. I believe I am hearing a guitar string slightly out of tune though. Maybe someone with younger ears can check......
Good luck with this one!

Hi Colin,
thanks so much for stopping by on this project. We so appreciate your comments. R.E. the suggestion on the guitar...well, not being the music person on this one, I'll to defer to Mark on that one...you could be right, but I don't pick it up. Thanks Colin...we'll be pitching this soon.
