this is on the general board as well, i guess i'll post this here too...he is a start up publisher folks...come to think of it, even Clive Davis was a start up publisher at some point, in that many of you seem to be so far above someone who is trying to work with us a little...well i'll leave it at that...
This is Keith Gill guys (or someone who works with him, it's probably him). He is a reputable guy. I have spoken with him in person at length and am working with him on a song I wrote. He has alot of Nashville contacts and is building his catalog. I first met him through a pitch i made to him through songU. We have a somewhat bad habit here of jumping on new posters, and i understand why because we are barraged with crapola so often. All new posters are not spammers. Keith has some artists and A&R peeps at the majors he is trying to get cuts with. I hope I get one with him. If anyone is interested, here's the link to the song I'm working with him. Whether it gives insight to what he's looking for, atleast for certain pitch opps, well that's why i'm givin' you a link. Remember when you're in publishing it's all about finding that great song, you can't have too many songs. The less ya'll send, the better chance I have good luck...moker
Sam, if you are going to submit, remember he wants it e-mailed to him ( i posted a link on here so ya'll would know i'm actually in the pitch mode with him, and then 5 minutes later there was an e-mail on the way to him with an mp3 and a lyric attached.), i would suspect lyric without music won't work for 99% of publishers, if they ask you to submit, you have to actually submit according to their requests. He is reviewing hundreds of songs at the moment, i am quite sure of that. good luck...moker
