Hi everyone, This Monday is the Third Monday of the month, and it's time for our JPFolks Meeting. It's a Grind is a quaint little place in Irvine. We had a lot of fun last month. This month we'll be sharing songs, and Anna and I will be sharing our experience at the IMC Music Conference which we attended this weekend. * I also just got a really cool "Prosumer" video camera which I'll practice with that night if you don't mind being videotaped. No promises, 'cause I'm still learning the functions, but the autofocus seems to work well and the sound quality is nice. Here are the details: JPFolks Meeting/Network/Song Circle Monday, October 20th, 2008 7 - 9:00 Irvine It's A Grind Please stop by for all or part of the meeting to network, listen, share a song, get a critique (bring 15 copies of lyric sheets if you want one), and share a song. THERE'S FREE WI-FI TOO. Please bring any info you have to share on local opportunities, good open mics or showcases, new performance venues, great local resources and classes, great internet sites, great speakers, etc. Here's the schedule: 7:00 - 7:30 Network and News 7:30 - 9:00 Song Rounds and Optional Feedback The location is: It's A Grind, Irvine - 15333 Culver Dr. (Near Irvine Center Drive) Irvine, CA 92604 (949) 559-3677 (Across from the McDonalds, by the PetSmart) Here is the website for directions: http://www.itsagrind.com/location/?c=26It's free, but buying a drink or something to eat is always a great way to show our appreciation! Thanks, Hope to see you all!
