Hey All, Ever wondered how many songs relate to a body part, and in which genres ? These visual artists (with way too much time on their hands ) provide an analysis of over 10,000 songs. How many gospel songs are written about your butt ? How many rock songs about your little pinky ? Find out here...... http://blogs.abc.net.au/nsw/2008/08/body-parts-in-m.html?program=702_drivecheers, niteshift PS - writers such as Calvin and J.Wrabek, are statistical anomilies, and are exceptions which prove the rule.

Lightning bar.(Arlo Guthrie's version) Tie me kangeroo down sport. Rolf Harris I'm sending my heart to you. George Carlin I left my heart in San Francisco. Tony Bennett A dying Cubs fan's last request. Steve Goodman Please don't bury me. John Prine

Now, niteshift, I don't do that many songs about body parts--just *bodies* (the cookies notwithstanding). And most of them are animal bodies (if that matters). When we did the Labor Day Weekend concert, I did a whole set of dead-animal songs for the kids.
"Statistical anomaly" sounds like something I should see a doctor about. Unless there's a non-prescription cure for it on TV, of course.

That site is pretty cool. Some of the stats are amazing, others seem appropriate. A lot of them were the same body part but referred to by different names, kind of statisically misleading.

Yep, looks like the "eyes" have it !
But hands coming in second ? I don't recall that many songs referring to hands.
Joe, I stand corrected, but you'd win hands down for "total dead bodies in a song" wether human, animal or alien !
Richard, I'll go and have a listen. Anyone who comes from Titsville ( I mean um .....whatever ) deserves a bit of a break..
cheers, niteshift

The National Transplant Society LUVS us:-) The difficult part(no pun intended) was having to learn ALL the words to the frickin' kangaroo song(Thanks Aussies) because no one else seems to sing it anymore and one verse just isn't enough to satsify. Midnite Heya 'Shift,

"We are all millionaires, billionaires even, because right now we have today. And today is worth more than all the wealth we can imagine. So spend today wisely. Spend tomorrow wisely. Enjoy the wealth of today, and realize it is worth far more than all the money and possessions of tomorrow and beyond." -Brian Austin Whitney
