O.K., I confess I took La Femme to see this Chick-Flick 2 because we'd (1) Had a Bad Week of it & (2) Seen most-everything at the Box Office except the "Stepbrothers" Flick/Neither of us Truly-Appreciate Will Ferrel...yet.
So, bein' The "Sensitive Guy" I I Am, it was high time I took the Wife to see This One (Tho, The Deal Is, I get to see the one where the Ex-Playboy-Bunny-Chick "Converts" a Nerd-Filled Sorority House...Stay Tuned!).
"Pants 2" was Directed by Samaa Hamri, Written by Elizabeth Chandler from Ann Brashares' Novel. Stars: Amber Tamblyn (Tibby Tomko-Rollins), Alexis Bledel (Lena Koligaris), America Ferrera (Carmen Lowell), Blake Lively (Bridget Vreeland), Rachel Nichols (Julia), Tom Wisdom (Ian), Blythe Danner (Greta), & Lucy Hale (Effie). Acting's First-Rate, The Editing CAN get a bit Confusing, but the 4 Main Gals' Love/Family/Group Lives get interwoven kinda like a Delightful Salad..
Here's the Won't-Give-TOO-Much-Away Synopsis I gleaned offa "hockeygurl10" at imdb.com: "..4 young women continue the journey toward adulthood that began with "The Sisterhood of The Travelling Pants". Now, 3 years later, these lifelong friends embark on separate paths for their first year of college and the summer beyond."
We hadn't seen "PANTS 1" (where a Pair of Jeans that fit All-4-Characters "united them" for the First Flick), but we did sit next to a pair of Sweet-Young-Thangs who HAD, & were VERY Vocal all through the Flick, so, for-instance, we knew a loud GASP meant the Male Heartthrob just-appearing Onscreen MUST'VE been important to the Previous-Plotline...heh~ ;-)>
While seeing Pants 1 PRIOR would've helped-a-bit, entering Mid-Point wasn't too bad an experience. By Flick's End, all 4 Characters ARE Re-United by "The Magic of The Pants", and it's (JMO) somewhat Happier-Than-Real-Life, but IS a Great 4-Stories-Told Ending..with some Beautiful Greek Scenery (& a Handsome Male Nude Model) all Tossed-In to make it Extra-Romantic for The Gals.
La Femme rates it an "8-Out-Of-10". Me, I'd call it a "6 1/2-to-7"..& add it was long, but quite-enjoyable, even for a Guy..to view. (My Guess is the Review'll be "Reversed" for the Bunny-Flick, but we'll see!)
JMO...(Keep-or-Sweep-it) Big Hugs, Stan

Interesting.. you didn't see pants 1 but went to pants 2. I can't imagine ever doing that.. I'd be too annoyed at all the things I knew I was missing (i.e. the insider plot stuff). Interesting that you really liked it anyway. I'll look for the first one on cable and go from there.

HiDee Bro Brian!
Hey, occasionally I do What My Wife Wants...heh-heh...(No Explanations Necc'y, eh?) ;-)>
I find The Female Mind to be as Fascinating as Their Anatomy..(Maybe even More-So at my Advancing Age)...and, it's always fun to see what The Writers & All added-in so Guys wouldn't NOT Like this Movie.
NOW I find myself wondering HOW in the Heck can they ever do a "Pants THREE"...heh-heh!
DID toss a coin between seein' the Bunny Flick and Woody Allen's Latest...& was kinda glad Woody Won the Toss~
Best Wishes & 'Nother Big Guy-Hug, Stan, Usual Wearer of The Pants in The Good Household

then brace yourself Stan... there could indeed be another...or more
my friend who lives across the street from my guitar students....(and in whose house we have those lessons) is a retired librarian. (sometimes I wonder if she had her own private library judging by the number of books she has LOL) anyway.... she tried to interest my 10 year old girl student in the "Pants" series... I think there were 4 books...(mighta been more?) I've seen the first movie compliments of saturday kid friendly movies while I ride my exercise bike... and will probably wait to watch the second one in the same way.

HiDee Mz H!
I wouldn't mind a bit...the 4 lassies in this Installment are all very fetching...& the Greek Scenery in this one was splendid!
IF ya see The Ending to this one you'll see why it's NOT gonna be Easy to sequilize.
But...heh...I'm not gonna reveal The Ending so ya enjoy the Seeing!
Thanks for the Update...Hope ya enjoy Round 2!
Big Hugs, Stan
