Here's a crazy idea: we choose a dozen or so urban or semi-urban locales in our [Southeast] region - where active JPF members reside - and organize JPF Showcases! I'm not sure how difficult it would be to arrange everyone's schedules, but I've booked enough shows to know it is possible. We could do large cities (like Nashville and Atlanta) on weekday nights (read: not-as-busy nights) to avoid venue-rental fees. The more rural showcases could be held on weekend nights (it's easier to reserve a Friday night in a rural town then, say, Nashville).
thoughts anyone? would you be interested in performing?

You would still need a headliner to sell tickets. Bob is popular in Cincinnati so maybe he could draw a crowd. Otherwise, you'll need a street team.

"Just Plain Folks is like a plow. A plow is a tool that can be used to help feed thousands of hungry people. But there are two groups of people on the planet. One group of people realizes that for the plow to help feed people, they must actually USE the plow to prepare the field to grow the food to feed the people. The second group of people are the ones who stand and stare at the plow and wait for the food to drop out of it. Of course that group is much smaller because those people all eventually starve to death." –Brian Austin Whitney
