Songwriting Challenge #22

The goal of our "Song Challenges" is to write songs/lyrics on demand within set parameters. We don't critique each other's songs in this thread (but you can say you like someone's song if you want to.) Please post your original works. If you have already written a song/lyric that fits within the parameters, please feel free to post it.

The new challenge is to write a song which uses the phrase "Close your eyes" in the hook. You may have a chorus and the hook must be in the chorus or you can use the hook in a repeating line in each of the verses.

Hmmm, maybe time for another song challenge.

I've been working on one for this. It's slow moving, but moving just the same. If it's o.k. I will post it when I'm through, but it may be a day or so.

That's cool, Caroline. I've decided to keep all these things open ended for those who need more time or who come late to the party. Take your time.

Moker, that is so romantic. Usually, I don't do any critiques in this forum, but if you could change the summer of 98 to something like maybe high school days (to keep the rhyme) the song could be one many ages could relate to.

Wow, Shavon! You packed a lot of story in that short song. Good use of the hook.
