Hi everybody, My friends and I just finished building a site called clubwiki.org, a free, wiki-based venue database, designed to help musicians find club information like booking contacts, capacity, supported genres, similar clubs nearby...all the stuff you need when planning a tour, but which is currently hard to come by. Check out some of the venue entries: http://clubwiki.org/club?id=237 http://clubwiki.org/club?id=189 http://clubwiki.org/club?id=202 The important thing to note is that just like Wikipedia, those entries were created not by paid editors, but by the community. And unlike the printed venue guides, which are expensive and often out-of-date, ClubWiki is a free, open resource, editable by the folks who use it. Of course, like any wiki, it's only as good as the information the community puts into it. We're just getting started, so I hope you'll add your favorite clubs to play, and let me know how we can make it more useful. Thanks, Ethan

"If you are stuck in your musical composing, be unreasonable. Change your environment. If you are stuck in your lyrical efforts, instead of forcing the same old words out, force yourself to do unreasonable things." -Brian Austin Whitney
