OK, I saw Preview Screening Last Night...LAUGHED My Socks Off...Came home & spent 3 full HOURS researching Platypus on GOOGLE..& I'm WASTED!
So...Rather'n pretending to give ya a REAL Critical, In-Depth Hastily-Drawn-Up Review, here's a REAL QUICKY (Just like the Wedding Scene in this Baby): (Oh...& Time-Permitting, I'll rewrite this Whole Thingy.) ;-)>
I give it an "8-outta-10", just because it's the FUNNIEST Movie I've seen All Year, so-far. (My Wife, who DIDN'T think the Guy Peeing in The Sink was ALL that funny...etc...still said it was a "7", more-or-less..& she's REAL Tough on a Movie. Fun Directing by Tom Vaughan..Diaz Sparkles through what'd otherwise be, yeah, mostly Formula Love-Story Stuff..& Ashton Kutcher's another of those GREAT "Bachelor Guys" until the Last Reel, but-of-course.
Let's mention FUN acting by Lake Bell, Jason Saderkis, Dennis Farina & Queen Latifa (& apologize to those I've left out...but ALL the Cast DE-Livered/I owe the Screenwriter a Mention when I get back!)
BECAUSE...last 5 minutes...I got VERY Misted Up. THEN..2 itty-bitty-SURPRISE "Flashbacks" as the Credits Rolled..I was, again, lauging uncontrollably.
Audience Applauded...Haven't heard many Critics Applauding Today, though. So...See It/& Let's Hear what YOU Think, too!
Back to Clearing my Workin' Man's Hangover...
Big Hugs, Stan

Yo Bro!
Sorry, it won't be getting my $$. Ashton is right up their with Mike Meyers, Will Ferrell and a coupla others who, while I admire their talent, I just can't sit through anymore.

Hi Bro Bobby!
Sorry if I'm partially Playin'-Hookey on this Review here...but the Local Genius who grants accreditation to Reviewers at Allied Advertising hasn't got-back-to-me in over 2 weeks. (The day I first contacted him, he was enthused, & TRIED to read this Board, on-the-spot. BUT it was off, due to Server Problemos...) "We'll get back to you" was The Best I Got outta that call. Tried again last week, got a Recorder.
Yesterday, La Femme drove 20 minutes, waited in-line 15..for Preview Tix for "NARNIA"...at Tampa Trib. The gal who hands 'em out gave the folks at front of the line a PAIR-each, & MAJORITY in the line further-back (Including La Femme) got Zilch. (BIG hurry to get back into her Air-Conditioned Office, the Trib's Worker..I guess--)
Now I'd LIKE to be Reviewing 3-4 Movies a Week, but if THEY wanna make it More Difficult, fine...I'll JUST review the one we pay for on Saturday Nites & let it go at that.
HOWEVER...If You Folks at JPF might consider CALLING the Allied Guy & Express your DESIRE to get MORE Reviews Here from Yours-Truly per-week...PLEASE mention Your Willingness to CALL this Guy...&...I'll post his Name & Number...IF I see enough Names here.
I got a suspicion either the Numbers Here aren't high-enough...or perhaps My Reviews aren't up-to-snuff.
No Problem with the Latter....any Critic who can't take Criticism isn't worth Accrediting..
As for the Vegas Flick...It's FUN, Diaz is HOT, Kutcher's Excellent as a "Fired by His Own-Father Loser" (Yet VERY Sympathetic..& yep, LOVEABLE by the Last Reel!) I'll add Dennis Miller's cameo as The Divorce Court Judge also helps ALL This Work..& when this Flick finally wraps up, it's like hearing that "Lost Chord" at the end of The Beatle's "I'd Love to Turn You On" Number...ya leave with this big "BONGGGGG" of Fun & Energy that lasts long after ya've left The Parkin' Lot.
Again, JMO..& Yep, Keep-or-Sweepit!
Ya SHOULD see "The Ending"..as a Scriptwriter, Bro...when this comes out on Video, at least.
Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan

Hey Stan,
So you're not doing reviews anymore? I always check in here before we go see anything but I saw you hadn't reviewed Indiana Jones...

Hi Bri!
For Some Odd Reason...like we're not readin' the Trib as CLOSELY as we used to have Time For..we've not got a Free Preview Ticket in a week-Plus. DID see "Narnia" last Sat. Nite..(Paid for it)..but frankly, IF I'd penned a Review it'd rate under a "5"..& the fool Movie grossed a BUNDLE last week at the B.O. (My Problemo: I'd never seen the PREVIOUS Flick to it, OR read-the-book(s)..AND sound system was bad/I had a HECK of a time figgerin' out the Old British Accents all the Principals were Parlayin' In.)
So..I avoided Critiquin' Something That I DIDN'T really "Get"..or Particularly Enjoy...other'n' the (frankly) Magnificent Special Effects. (WAS also Rather-Impressive how they had ALL sorts of Battles, Swordfights, Arrows Dispatchin' Folks...AND..ya saw Nary A Gush of Blood, throughout. So MANY Battles..so LITTLE Blood!)
Dunno if Disney did the Kiddies any FAVOR with all that UN-Bloody Battling..but Cast of Kiddies WAS a Wholesome Bunch..Movie stayed REAL Busy, Scenic, Fairly Interesting-Yet-Baffling, & Narnia WAS Saved in the Last Reel..Sequil: Complete/ Mission: Accomplished.
WILL brave The Lines to pay for & see Indiana Jones this Weekend.
WILL Harrison Ford turn into Another Sylvester Stallone?
I'll let ya know What I Think..soon as I've seen it!
HOPE to score a few more Free Tix...Soon...(But have YET to hear back from Allied Adv't..so I assume My Credentials ain't Impressin' Anybody at The Agency there.) (Which greatly peeves me, 'cuz I've chatted with a Gal they DID grant "Reviewer Status" to whose Website's been OFF for over 6 Months now. Grrr.)
OH..I could feed you the Allied Honcho's Phone Number that Authorizes "Reviewer Status"...& maybe you could convince the Guy we'd sure enjoy a lot MORE Reviews around here..IF they'd Grant Me The Accrediting I Need..to get the Free Tix/Reserved Seating from THEM. I COULD review 3-5 Flicks a week...IF I got the Tix "DIRECT". La Femme loses over an hour waiting in Tribune's "Free Tickets" line..1-2X a week, then we both lose an hour-&-a-Half waiting for the Flick Preview to let The Crowd in..and Another Hour waiting for the Movie to Begin.
"Accredited Reviewers" got 1-2 rows already Taped-Off & Waitin' for their Arrival..(& there's always 5-20 seats "Empty" of reviewers by "Showtime"..Grr!)
Thus My Flux! (Let me know...I'll PM ya His Number & Name...if ya could help on this, Amigo!)
Many Thanks, Best Wishes, & A Big Guy-Hug, Stan

I have nothing to add to this review, except to say that I noticed it had 99 "viewings", and in my newly adopted "Life's Goal" of helping to get Stan Da Man free movie passes, felt the need to get it to over a hundred via the absolutely arduous task of clicking on it a few times.
Exhaustion has now set in and I must take my rest.
Stan O'Boy, I hope you appreciate the things I do for you.

HiDee & THANKEE Brother Bob, You Kind, Generous-With-Your-Time Guy, You!
Just goes to show that Behind Every Successful Man, there's usually Some Hard-Workin' Evil Dude working-his-butt-off Behind-The-Scenes!
This is Very-Appreciated, Amigo!
I.O.U. a Great Plotline or Two!
