verse 1
Snow is falling the fields are white
There's not a blade of grass in sight
The sun shines through a broken sky
A golden beam from way up high
Peace, love, and faith teaches us to
lend a helping hand,Jesus helps us every way
he can.No matter where we live, we will survive,
we will learn to obey the rules and be alive.
Peace, love, and faith helps us to be free,
Jesus helps everyone including you and me.
He knows what to do day to day,
Jesus wants to love us in His own way.
chorus
The glittering frost lies all around
Like sparkling gems each winter found
The earth becomes hard crisp and dry
As the flowers seem to fade and die.
The streams are frozen with solid ice
Even the trees pay the winter's price
Rabbits and mice burrow 'neath the ground
Waiting for spring in sleep they're bound
verse 2
Smoking chimneys seem to tell a tale
Even the birds have set their sail
Upon each window Jack has drawn
A distinctive pattern no window the same
But alas winter is cold and hard
Symbolic of life be on your guard
The beauty of winter can be easily found
Like everything in life just you look around
Peace, love, and faith is what we all need,
Life is passing by in such a speed.
We wonder what is going on from day to day;
we all need to take time to pray.
chorus
The glittering frost lies all around
Like sparkling gems each winter found
The earth becomes hard crisp and dry
As the flowers seem to fade and die.
The streams are frozen with solid ice
Even the trees pay the winter's price
Rabbits and mice burrow 'neath the ground
Waiting for spring in sleep they're bound
verse 3
Peace, love, and faith should be in our heart,
if we all work hard, we can do our part.
It doesn't matter what kind of race,
we all want to have that smiling face.
Stormy winds beat upon the Sea
Killer whales cry beneath the deep
we’ve come a long way, down through the years
So much has changed, from birth to tears
a new millennium we anxiously await,
A few more miles to heaven's gate.
Between the thick trees on a moonlit hill,
A flicker of grey threads its way to a shadow less glade
And sits itself under the vastness of a crisp sky-
A lone, pitiful cry shatters the silence.
The pounding of its heart gives vibrancy to the air chorus which is still and sharp in the frozen forest.
Its head is thrust back to utter deviancy,
and its sorrowful eyes yearn an intense pity
Peace, love, and faith is among all of us,
we have to learn to share and trust.
The glittering frost lies all around
Like sparkling gems each winter found
The earth becomes hard crisp and dry
verse 4
It doesn't matter if we are black or white,
Jesus will keep us in His sight.
I can't SEE the angels who comfort and guide me,
But I am AWARE they are ALWAYS beside me . . .
Lifting my countenance when I am low,
Helping me stay on the path I should go.
When I'm uncertain or fringe on despair,
I still maintain faith that the angels are there;
Not interfering, but watching to see
How I handle each challenge that's placed before me.
It's difficult here in this "schoolroom" of Earth,
Repeating the cycles, birth, death, and rebirth . . .
But the angels encourage with light and with love;
they’re GOD'S special messengers sent from above.
Although the "Earth journey" seems endlessly long,
be not dismayed; in your heart keep a song.
We have angels to guide us . . . no more could we ask . . .
As we step forth with courage to master each task. copyrighted by penny lapsley, jerry spalding

Hi Penny... I love the title of this... I can't say I can connect the title to the song.... (which is not a bad thing and maybe one day I will write song by the same name... if you won't be offended?) Again the meter varies between the verses... also verse 4 is a different lenght to the other 3... I am not one to pick length on a song as I firmly believe that a song should be as long as it needs to be... but this is quite long.... shortening wouldn't hurt it but that's JMO. Hope this helps some Cheers

"If someone is truly a jerk, or truly is not deserving of any positive reply from you, polite indifference is the best response you can give. Do not insult. Do not slam. Do not follow the urge to be nasty. Simply be politely indifferent." –Brian Austin Whitney
