In honor of our fifth year of organizing songwriting contests, we’ve raised the Grand Prize and lowered the entry fee for the 2008 Great Lakes Songwriting Contest. And this year, you can enter without filling up the landfill. Yes, thanks to a new partnership with Sonic Bids, you can enter the contest paperlessly -- for no extra charge! (Or, you can still mail in your songs, if you prefer.) No age limits, no song categories, and winners keep ALL rights to their songs. Entrants must be current residents of one of the eight states bordering the Great Lakes, or the Province of Ontario, Canada. Deadline is April 26. Go to http://www.GreatLakesSongs.com for everything you need.

"If you are stuck in your musical composing, be unreasonable. Change your environment. If you are stuck in your lyrical efforts, instead of forcing the same old words out, force yourself to do unreasonable things." -Brian Austin Whitney
