I'm not quite sure if this was the right forum for this, but as it's regarding music and movies and we all almost are in the business
which is the best way to get your music licensed for soundtracks?
any recommmendations? any sites i might try?
actually my album Ancient Shadows has gathered really nice press and recognition adn among all the critics the highlight is... try to get into a soudntrack, the fact is that I'm clueless about where to start from. I have my own publishing company and i'm really overloaded with work being my agent, my manager and all in one-set
but i would thank the advice of people that have already licensed or that know sites where to apply for such purpose thanks! _________________

I think TAXI is a great tool for this. Not only do they have opportunities, but going to their Road Rally is a great networking tool to get to know the library and film/tv supervisors.

Yes, at one time TAXI was a legit way to make contacts in the Music Industry. I think a lot of their listings are from music libraries today. Not direct placements like it was years ago. Although, I haven't checked out their listings recently.
Thought I'd bring an old thread back to life.
Best, John

Thanks John. The sync is what interests me. Incredible number of placements you have that I saw in another recent posting. Maybe others will pick this up with their efforts at sync placements and comment. Best.

Probably a better option today is "Music Library Report": https://musiclibraryreport.com/ It has reviews of hundreds of libraries. There's a join free for the forums. A lot of experiences with music libraries there. If you want access to the libraries, you can join for as little as a week ($25). That's enough time to make a list of the music libraries that sound right for you. Good luck! Best, John
