Here's something I wrote earlier this year...lyrics only...
Just Like My Love For You
Some things in life need no explanation We just accept them as the truth The sun's gonna rise, stars gonna shine Just like my love for you
As endless as time, as new as the dawn As real as the sky is blue Flowers will grow, the rivers will flow Just like my love for you
Chorus
Stronger with each passing day How can something so good get better So many things come and go But now and then some last forever Just like my love for you
There's a design way beyond our power We can't control it, can't dispute The moon hangs above held by God's touch Just like my love for you
I knew from the start, I'll know till the end My heart couldn't be more true Singers will sing of wonderous things Just like my love for you
Chorus
Stronger with each passing day How can something so good get better So many things come and go But now and then some last forever Just like my love for you

Hey Dave,
Yeah... I like this lyric. It's tender and uncomplicated. Though it does present itself as a freshly cut bouquet of love cliches.(Say that one time fast) Still, it won me over. Sure it has a borrowed heart but it's got a soul all it's own. Which means you're gonna need a great melody to keep it alive. Grammar nits: sure. Am I overwhelmed by the repetitive hook: Maybe? Music will make or break the monotony.
Any further compliments require proof.
all the best, Dog
P.S. ... who you talking with? On the phone, in the picture?
edit: I think I was a bit tooo playful the day I wrote this... So I struck-out the unimportant parts.

HI Dave, Don't know if I've read anything of your before. Anyway, welcome to he board. Love songs are tough but looks like you've done pretty well. An unrhymed last line in a C always bugs me. Could be jusr me. That's in spite of it being afte every V too. Personally, I like to see it rhymed in the C. Then I could "hear It after every V. This is just an idea but welcome if you want it ---------------------- Chorus
Stronger with each passing day How can something so good get better So many things come and go But now and then some last forever FOREVER AND STILL BRAND NEW Just like my love for you
