Hey,
Anyone watching the film-maker's reality show? (Boy, Carrie Fischer's looking a little worse for the wear) Just caught a couple of minutes last night, but I thought it might be a good ongoing discussion on this board.
The task in last night's episode was to work in groups of three and produce a short film in 24 hours...3 scenes in each, each person directed a scene. They were provided with the concepts of the films.
Didn't see them all, but the one's I did catch were pretty good. One team did this amazing stop motion special effects concept. Not sure how the hell they pulled it off in 24 hours.
Any thoughts on the show anyone?

I've been watching from the start and love it. Agree about the comment on Carrie, but the lovely hostess more than compensates.

I actually have been watching this on line. Didn't see this discussion. You can watch full episodes on line. Overall it's a fun show. The judges are among the most useless on TV (only the guest judges occassionally give useful comments). I could ALWAYS give far better feedback than the regulars. It's pretty sad actually.
But the show is creative and fun and I am waiting for the music show that allows people to write new songs each week and then perform them. That was my idea for an AI show that I pitched directly to CBS execs and was turned down 2 years before AI launched. Ah well.
I haven't gotten all the way caught up to current shows, but I am looking forward to it.

I totally agree Brian, those judges other than the guest judges are useless. To top it off they have Carrie Fisher as judge, wait what? As far I know Carrie Fisher is an badly aging actress and has not ever directed a movie in her life let alone been in any other movies other than Star Wars. At least Mark Hamel has been active than she has. So why exactly she a judge on the show? Honestly it shows how bad she is a Judge to cause every time she open her mouth it makes you just want to slap her.
However, as far as the show it's self at first I was very skeptical on how the show would do not to mention how it would do. I was pleasantly surprised at the content that was flowing out of the show and the fact they are glamorizing creativity I think is a positive boon. I hope they do a second season but dump the current judges and get some better ones.
