I want to use pictures I took from a digital camera of the sky and land and convert them into videos.
I have an evision 123 dual mode digital camera I bought about 5 years ago, and a Logitech QuickCam Pro that I just purchased. It has a built in mic.
I would like to make videos from the slide show of my digital photos. I can make my photos look like an actual rolling sci-fi type of film using the slide show feature in my digital cameras software. And I would like to turn the slide show into a video presentation.
Can this be done with my setup? Is there any type of cam or software I would need if I can't?

HI Matt,
I'm not the biggest tech guru in the world, but I do a little video editing here and there.
You'll need some kind of software that edits video and a video card that provides an "IN" for the camera signal. Check what OUTs your camera has - perhaps USB or firewire.
I use Adobe Premiere, but it seems like for what you're doing an easy consumer level program might work just fine.
Your software should have the capability of CAPTURING the output of your camera.
You may also find that you can do cool transitions between photos with the software too.
There should be several options for the format of your end product too.
Hope this helps, Christine

Thanks Christine!
I have a USB connection with both the camera and the quickcam. I have Adobe but I don't have Adobe Premier. Just the one to read documents. I heard their pretty good though.
I appreciate the advice. Thanks much!

I do not know if this is much help but most cameras, camcorders, mobile phones etc come with their own software package. If the product you have did not come with an installation cd check manufacturer online to see what is available to download. For a good program to edit and display photos and videos etc try Nero 7 premium reloaded. It does everything music and video related. It wont make a cup of coffee but my wife does that. Seriously it is a great multi media program with easy to use very neat extras. I was completely blown away by all that it does. It has saved me a fortune.

Thanks Jim!
I have the Adobe Premiere in one computer and I upgraded my Nero in my other computer for the Premium. That way, I don't have conflicts from them both being in the same computer and I can weigh the differences.
I had this crazy idea of just putting my camera up to the monitor with my rolling pictures to match my primitive recording setup. But I want quality.
I am measuring not being self indulgant without compromising inspiration. But I am going to learn how to use this software before I put up anything.
i really appreciate the tips and thanks very much.
Matt
