Im back from Nashville... Had a very productive trip... Saw old friends and did some new and old biz.. Had an encounter with a person who shall remain nameless, unless we are sitting around a campfire and the jug passes me by one too many times..ahem.. At any rate I showed up at his "office" , turns out he wasnt so "tough" in person, needless to say he backed down on trying to kick my butt, not that maybe he could have done it ,he just didnt expect that I would really show up at his office of scams.......We had one of those talks ... He is one of many not on the level folks that dot the Nashville landscape.. Because of my website ,I get emails offering me "deals"...They havent even taken the time to read what it is...and they assume that Im a writer. Many times I answer them just to see what it is that they are doing... This person and I got into it through the wonders of email..I was told he would "kick my butt if I ever came to his office"..I did ,he didnt, and we had a little talk. End of story. So it is good to be back etc...Hope all is well on the forum.. Dude... http://songconsultant.com

Yeah man! The internet has its own kind of road rage. I'm glad to see someone step up to the task. I personally think that road rage should be legalized for a couple years, because, then there wouldn't be any.

Dude:
Thanks for taking the time to "take care" of this long needed confrontation. It's been more than 20 years since I've been back to my former home in Brentwood (south of Nashville) but I'd sure like to see all the changes that have occurred.
I would especially like to visit this particular "Ambassador" and let him know what he can do with his credentials. Then I'd like to find out how many minutes I'd last in the lobby of one of the major labels before they kicked me out. (LOL)
All my best,
Dave Rice

I am using Linda's laptop and didn't realize it was logged in as her. The "Ambassador" is one of the most illiterate morons I have ever come across in the music industry, or anywhere else for that matter. Anyone who would ever give him money is a danger to themselves and others.

The ambassador ? C-4 promotions ? The same Charlie Ray that owns the rights to Buck Owens band ? Dude, if we only knew, we would have bankrolled your trip and you could have layed the muscle on the half dozen dream weavers that pop up on a regular basis. You could have filmed it, discovery picks it up and you get to to pick a JPFer in a free songwriting contest to write the soundtrack.....

Hey Thanks for all the replys..It took the guy at least 20 minutes to come out and meet me...I told the young darlin' at the desk, that I could wait all day and be back the next day...I didnt really have that much time but they didnt know that.. I thought about just punching this "person" but waited to see what they would do and say...talk about back pedaling and etc...I refused to shake hands with him..These kinds of jerks make me sick. Lyric9...you would not know your old stomping grounds at all. Dude... http://songconsultant.com

Dude:
I was afraid you would say that. My friend, the Head Pro at Belle Meade CC in Nashville (also a native Texarkanian) has suggested that scenario several times.
Thanks for confirming my worst fears. (LOL!)
All my best,
Dave Rice

No, his name is Willie Gibbons. He's the top banana there.
Hope this helps.
