"A moral lesson in life""
A child awoke from sleep one morning With something troubling his mind It stired within him a well of passion And a need for an answer to find So he approached his father In the early morning hour And asked him a question He said; "Father what is life, who am I?" But his father in a sense could not reply But said; "Look inside yourself my son For there the answer lies, For in the course of life you are yet To experience and discover many things, The joy happiness brings and sorrow its demise The choice of the foolish or the wise." Not within the immediate reach of understanding The child kept the saying nevertheless to heart And off he went to face the challenge that Awaited him with a clear start And the sun in the east did rise In its path lit for joy the skies And the child breathing a sigh Saw the world around him with opened eyes Now the child many years later Had grown into a man And he was troubled, for he said "I see, I see but still don't understand, What is this thing nagging in my soul This emptiness, this indifferent vagueness I feel towards life Why is it that in my search for serenity I always end up experiencing strife." He had no one to turn to for guidance His father had passed away So he was left to himself, solemn and dejected And dark grew his days In deep sorrow he lifted his eyes To the heavens above And asked God "Father why am I so unhappy" But God in a sense could not reply But said; "Ye seek the good, but have not Because thou dost not love, open your heart my son for there the true treasure lies." The man broke down wept in tears and cried And said; "I have seen life from a distance pass me by Now I know, looking at those far away eyes Why distance all this time has kept us apart Love is a sword that pierces the heart."

"Never apologize for your work. If it's the best you can do, there's nothing to be sorry about and if it's not, you shouldn't be exposing anyone else to it in the first place." –Brian Austin Whitney
