I am really excited about this forum if folks take advantage of it. I envision people posting interesting photos, links to their paintings and graphic art work. This is a good place to get feedback, or just share what you do. If you are an artist with work for sale, post that as well. Let's see where this goes!

You have to link stuff.. you can't load it directly to our board.. it has to be on line somewhere else and then be linked here.

OKAY - I figured this out. Maybe you've had the same problem and it could use an explanation. I view this site from my work computer. Here, many websites are blocked. We cannot access personal websites, internet email accounts, internet auctions, games, etc.
So a lot of times I'd open up one of the posts to look at the photos, and see nothing. When I tried it from home, I can see the image without a problem.
More than likely, most pictures are posted on a website that is blocked for various reasons. So even though I can read the text, the actual URL link brings in nothing.
If you have tried viewing any of these images from a computer that blocks various websites, you may not see every image.
It's a shame, because most of what I saw from home was artistically gorgeous. Here in the corporate world, well, I guess I shouldn't be looking - just working.

In case you're wondering, it's so "Puritan" here, that you can't even send me an email with the name "Elvis" in the subject line, because "Elvis" is a banned word.
They had to change the policy here a little bit though and move one word to the "okay" list when they hired a new employee named "George Dick."

Brian Ya that is cool Brian that would encourage more artists to come for sure. Do you know if there would be any kind of limits to the uploading like file size or how many can be uploaded? Like file size to save space and such. Also is this upload feature going to be available for MP3 up loads as well or will this just be for visual?

I am wondering if folks enjoy using this board and want it to remain? We're looking at adding some new boards and when we do that, we usually move the "New Ones" into a permanent new spot or remove them if they aren't being used.

That might be fun. Could either be general or there could be monthly assignments (still life, landscape, portrait, travel, photo-journalism, wildlife, etc.) I haven't been as active in this forum as a moderator should be (work) but I'd be happy to organize this. Scott

Here is a video I did of a live performance. The thing is that the video on the projector behind us was made for the song we are singing, so it is sort of a live soundtrack of a music video. The Frozen North live - by Northern Lights I have a few questions though. I have been making videos of my performances for a while but I want to spice them a bit, maybe bring more visual action into them so that they keep you engaged from start to finish. If there is anybody out there doing this who has come up with clever video tricks I would love to hear of some.

I am no expert but I know you could film in front of a green screen and then add whatever you want in the background afterwards.

I suggested to him to place the words that set up the video on the YouTube page so people don't miss them as they are vital to anyone who doesn't speak the language to help understand what is going on. It really makes the experience beautiful!

You should create a new topic (red button at the top left) and link both your performance AND the original video. That way folks will make the connection and give you feedback to what is a really good idea by you.
