The 2006 Great Lakes Songwriting Contest is now open for entries. Formerly the Michigan Songwriting Contest, the new contest is open to residents of all eight states bordering the Great Lakes, and to residents of Ontario, Canada. Grand Prize is $1,000 plus publicity and performance opportunities. Thirteen prizes in all. Go to www.GreatLakesSongs.com for entry form and details. No music categories, no age limits.
