Hi All, Tom Stephens and I are scheduled to perfom at the Rolling Stones tribute in Sarasota on Sunday July 27th. We had a bass player that was going to perform with us but he has backed out, family reasons. So we are looking for a bass player to play 3 songs with Tom & I, can anybody help? ------------------ James www.JRHawkins.com

Try asking Doc's bass player Michael J. maybe? He probably knows every Stones song ever done just like Doc! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/biggrin.gif) (Doc has his number of course.) OR you could call a guy named Taz. E-mail me back and I'll give you his number. He's playing with a band called Thunder Road but he might be off on Sundays. Hey Mikey told me that Al the Pal plays some bass too!!! Might wanna check with him. Hope this helps! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/biggrin.gif) Cindy

Or you could ask The Doctor himself...I play some bass, certainly enough to play three Stones tunes, and I want to come down for the show to see you play anyway. Email me Bro. Peace, Doc

[QUOTE]Originally posted by Cindy LaRosa: Hi Cindy & Frank, This will happen at Margarita Maggies in downtown Sarasota. Take I-75 south and get off at the Fruitville Rd exit, it's the one right after the University Blvd exit, Go west for a couple of miles till you come to US 301, there will be a used car dealership on the right, turn left at that traffic light then make a right at the 2nd traffic light. Margarita Maggies will be on the right. I hope that this helps. James, I'm really sorry we couldn't make it down there today. Frank had to catch up on work today and I also didn't have a babysitter for the day (that is always tricky!!), so I took Sierra to a movie and had some family time. (It's rare these days with all the rehearsing we've been doing.) Please accept our sincerest apologies and know that our thoughts and well wishes were with you today. Hope the performance went terrific! (I'm sure it did - as your shows are always a treat.) Best Regard, Cindy P.S. Please e-mail us your calendar though...as we'd really love to get out to one of your shows ASAP!! We've caught Donna's of course and we've been out to see the Blues Punks...now it's your turn. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/biggrin.gif) [This message has been edited by Cindy LaRosa (edited 07-27-2003).]

No Cindy it is I who should apologize to you for not getting up to see the North2South portion of the "Rolling Stones Tribute" at Skippers. Maggie Council told me that you guys ROCKED the house, but alas I was doing family stuff also. But I am looking forward to the concert at the end of the month and I think I might even get the wife to come up, pictures must be taken if that happens! I have been having a couple a ideas for songs that I would like to run by you, but I need to think them through some more. I will be doing a storyteller show at the Green Springs Cafe' in Safety Harbor this wednesday night at about 7:30pm. Their # is 727-669-6762. ------------------ James www.JRHawkins.com
