Hi there! I didn't listen to your mp3 but any choir director/voice teacher, etc. kind-of-person should be able to tell you within seconds of hearing you what your range or vocal classification might be (e.g., Soprano Alto, Teno, Baritone...). Hopefully, there is someone like that in your neighborhood. Good luck! ------------------ Evyn Charles ecsongs.com

Have your sample downloading now and will listen when it gets here. Not that I am anybody who can tell you anything of value re the range, from listening. Just wanted to have a listen to how folks do warm ups. I would sugest you wack a song you know well in a midi program and sing along to it repreatedly, while transposing the key both up and down. Take note of where you lose the song in both the low and high regitar, and I would say those note top and bottom will be the limits of your range. Then it should be simple for you to then look at a piece of music, note the highs and lows, and figure what key you can sing it comfortably in. Hope that helps. I did listen. Now I can't find my cat. Which is god as I hate cats. Just kidding. But not about me hating cats. Serious. I don't think this is the way to find out. That said, it gave me an idea toward this delema that may help you , and others, including me. Watch this space. I am working on it. On my Soundclick site, which the link for is at the foot of this post, is a scale thing, ranging from E below middle to two octaves above middle C which I understand it the accepted range of the human vox. It starts off with a 4 bar into to cue anybody into the start then goes up as per the C scale. E, F, G, A, B, C etc etc. The scales are in the key of whatever note the bar starts in of course. This should enable anybody to find their high and low points, and from there be able to figure whsat keys they can sing in to use their range to its best advantage. Lemme know if it works for you. Or doesn't work. And why. I think it should do the trick. Graham ------------------ http://www.soundclick.com/bands/2/grahamhendersonmusic.htm

Jus6t adding some feedback I got o the vox range finder thing. Am told I need to take it down another peg as the bottom is too easy to reach, so will do that . By the way. The dang thing is #14 on the Jazz charts at the moment. No doubt due to the fact folks are streaming it over and over again trying it out rather than downloading it to keep. The mp3 to the right of the hi and lo fi buttons is a clickable download button in Soundclick. I see today in my stats I have only one page hit so far but 5 streams. This one would be more use to anybody if it was downloaded I think. Going the ropunds of the local vox teachers today to see how it grabs them. By the way. I have also been using it to do my scales on guitar along to so it grates my ear when I hit a wrong one. Graham ------------------ http://www.soundclick.com/bands/2/grahamhendersonmusic.htm
