I need some opinions on headphones for our drummer to use during live performances. Not 'in ear',or wireless, but small ear cup. Looking in the $100 range. Any suggestons? Thanks

I like the Sony MDR 7506, it reproduces the bass nicely. I've also heard nice AKG's, Beyers, and Sennheisers. There's a Tascam headphone that is very comfortable. They're all around a hundred bucks. I'm with Mike on the Sony MDR7506's. They don't have a flat response like other headphones - there's more of a curve that increases the lows and highs - ideal for us older, "more seasoned" musicians. ------------------ Tom Tracy www.soundclick.com/tomtracy

Ditto on the Sony's. All my band mates have them to track with. I play a few different instruments and the 7506 phones seem to excel at all of them. Yamaha makes a few sets that work well too. Yeah, I like the 7506 Sony. However, for real isolation, you can't beat a pair or Koss 44a's. Heavy bastards, but great isolation.
