Hello to all my guitar lovin friends... Here is another guitar I have come across and am looking for some information/pricing. I searched the net and was able to track down the year of this current find which is a 1949 Zenith model epiphone, Blonde with trapeze piece, two "f" holes, ebony fretboard with dot inlays. The headstock has "epiphone" scrolled in inlay. If anyone knows of a great website where I may compare my find to others, it would be greatly appreciated. All of you were such a great help with the es330 I figure I couldn't go wrong asking again for a different guitar.
Keep on strumming!!

Hi Marty... ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/smile.gif) Thanks for your reply..I had never seen one or played one either before I came across it ...*LOL*...But God bless the people who keep these guitars..it gives a great insight to the past on construction etc...There is another one I have yet to even find info on and that is a 1941 Bronson spanish guitar. Its funny...the moment someone hears I play guitar, they bring these little jewels out of the closet. And being the lover I am, I can't help but try to find out more about them. Keep on Pickin... Melissa

It is amazing the instruments that sit in closets for years.
I've had the same experience a number of times - and of course had folks ask you to play a few, and its usually not possible because the strings haven't been changed in years (if they're even all there).
Problem often is that they hear rumors of what the guitar may be worth (like those silly antique shows on TV that tell people the stuff they have in the attic is worth thousands) so they put it back in the closet hoping someone will magically appear who wants to buy it for an overly inflated price.

Marty, Your absolutely correct on that assumption. I always remind the folks who like to bring them out of the closet for me to look at, is that it will only be worth what someone is willing to pay. The ES330 I spoke about, I knew was worth something and that it was only worth something to me. And if by chance it was worth more than my sentimental value, I would have it included on my homeowners. The other 2 I have mentioned, the bronson belongs to a 70 year old lady who recalls taking lessons at the age of 9. The guitar is in relatively good shape ( the house its in is like a museum). To her its worth $$$, I will assume because of the sentimentality of it. And that I would never take away. The other one, The epiphone I mentioned, I'm not certain of its value..sentimental or otherwise. The gentlemen had learned to play it when he was 9 years old too, but that was all I could get out if its current owner ( his widow). I did find a posting of a guitar (also an epiphone) that looks very similar that was played by Jackson Browne, but his is 1 year newer. Ah well...if nothing else....a guitar will have value because of the love affair between instrument and owner.
Keep on strumming, Melissa
