Belgian artist Laura has included my song "Nobody's Girl" on her new CD "Naked on the Inside". Laura is the most played local artist to come out of Belgium in the last two years, with a radio audience of up to 175,000,000 listeners. The song is available at the US ITunes store.
Check out my new song "Don't Know Who I Am" on the MP3 board.
Cheers,
Mitch

Congrats Mitch, Thanks for sharing your success story with us. I'll be checking this thread more. Guess I'd forgotten about it a long time ago. (So, glad Brian convinced me to get 'out' more often.) ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/smile.gif)

That's so cool, Mitch!! Take a bow! That goes for you both!
"Grits is one of those country-boy words that is both singular and plural-like deer, elk and sheep. I think the singular is appropriate when there's a modifier that makes it clear one is talking about something specific. Like, 'Grits are good for you, but these here grits is tasty.'"~~Joe Wrabek

Mitch Mitch, I just listened to your (original/demo?) version of "Don't Know Who I Am" at your SoundClick page, very cool song! Did you sing your own demo or was that another guy? On your main artist page: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pageartist.cfm?bandID=604368You say: "New writer with recent singles and/or album cuts released worldwide by major labels such as Universal and SonyBMG."That's very cool! Could you share with us sometime how you got these songs published? Are you self published or working with another publisher... exclusive or non-exclusive? In the last year it's amazing how many great songs and bigger name artists (or songwriters) I've found posting on SoundClick! It seems to be good exposure to post there. Michael

Hi, Michael: Thanks for checking out "Don't Know Who I Am" at http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=604368. Glad you enjoyed the listen. The vocals were handled by Tony Vincent. I think Tony gave a great performance. Please feel free to give a listen to the other songs at my soundclick page. My songs are published by my publishing company, Split Pea Songs. All the best, Mitch Please remember that Laura's recording of "Nobody's Girl" can also be downloaded from ITunes, where the song is available worldwide. Mitch,
I can't remember all the lyrics, but is "I Don't Want To Get Over You" a unisex song? I wonder what a female singing it would sound like? I only heard the male version. Might be a good American Idol song.

Interesting thought, Brian. Below are the lyrics. If anyone wants to check out the demo of "I Don't Want To Get Over You", please feel free to do so at: www.myspace.com/splitpeasongs4Thanks! Mitch I DON'T WANT TO GET OVER YOUI'm staring at your photograph I really don't know why These tears I cry don't mean a thing I hardly noticed when you said goodbye So why don't I go and find someone new? 'Cause what's the use of trying? All I can think about is you The truth is I don't want to get over you My heart is breaking I need your touch I don't want to get over you I'm dying, baby I miss you so muchI tell myself I'm better off I wanted to be free That kiss that made my knees get weak It wasn't really everything to me But what I'd give to be lost in your arms It was so easy falling Why is forgetting you so hard? The truth is (Repeat chorus) Every day, every minute I ask myself, where did I go wrong? I held you all night long I gave you all I had Now tell me, how do I go on? When...(Repeat chorus) © Mitch Hunt Mitch,
