"Art of Song" August 28th at 7:30pm ET/PT - The final episode “Art of Song” explores the world of songwriting from inspiration to presentation and features several of today's neo-traditionalists. First up is the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, an indie-vaudeville trio who write satirical songs inspired by vintage slide collections. Next is a personal exploration of the songwriting process with emerging lyricist Joe Firstman. From tender piano-driven ballads to rollicking roots-rock, this Los Angeles-based ********* has already collaborated with some of the greats like Bernie Taupin and Willie Nelson. Toshi Reagon and Richard Julian, both featured at the Writer's Hang, a community-based showcase hosted by singer-songwriter Scott E. Moore, where these artists share their material in a living room atmosphere. Lastly, the show ends with a high-energy performance from songwriters Bryant Keith Meltzer “The Melody Man”, and Kya Cheyenne in front of the world-famous Bluebird Café in Nashville, TN.
