Good things are worth waiting for! This endeavor has been in the works since November 2002; It's been difficult to not talk about it, but we wanted to be sure it was going to happen. Bill Anderson has confirmed to Rustie that he has booked the studio for September 9th and 10th to record the duet. Sometime ago, Bill sent the demo of the song, which was written by Bill, to Rustie; It's a great song about how a relationship changes in time, and is appropriately titled "Chip Chip." Rustie first opened shows for Whispering Bill Anderson in 2001 and then went on to record "On and On and On" ( a song written by Bill Anderson) which hit the E.M.S. European Chart in May and at the same time was sitting at the top of the "Hot Country Singles Chart" at #1. Also Rustie recorded "I'm Not Going Til I'm Gone," a beautiful ballad and fantastic song written by Bill and has now charted on the Mildura Hot FM top 100 Country Hits Chart. I have spoken to Rex Schnelle, Engineer at Sony Tree Studio's to confirm some of the details; All I can say is WOW! WHAT AN HONOR!! Bill Anderson, one of the BEST COUNTRY WRITERS OF ALL TIME! Bill has won more prestigious awards in the Country Music Entertainment Business than I can count! I cannot say enough about what an honor and how excited Rustie and I are about this! We will be talking with Bill how and when we will release "Chip Chip" to radio; when Bill whispers, people listen! MORE! Rustie and I will be off to Australia with Gary Bradshaw of Western Heart Promotions just days after Rustie is in the studio with Bill. Rustie has been invited to perform at the Mildura Festival (One of the biggest Independent Festivals). also prior to that, Rustie will be performing in Melbourne, September 20th & 21st. We are really looking forward it! Also just confirmed that Rustie & Sonny Avery & The Stallions Band will be working together for some Ohio Festivals and National Events in late 2003 & 2004. There is more, but those of you who know me, know that I don't like to announce things until all details are confirmed! Will let you know on future dates & appearance!
