I've got the heads up from one of my cowriters that our song "Never Stopped Loving You" will be included in an as yet to be titled movie. An independent film with major distribution and involvement with Wright Entertainment Group. Johnny Wright's company if you have never heard of WEG. Production is scheduled in the near future and if this project gets a full green light, then the movie will hit theaters worldwide. The song will be included in the soundtrack and has a spot in the movie as well. Here is a short premise of the song. It is a cross between the movie 2gether and Crossroads. It is about a band who is coming of age and trying to make it big. There will be a scene where the band in the movie performs my song on stage. Obviously, the current recording will be redone and some of the lyrics had to be rewritten. Thought I'd let ya know there is another success....Just keep your fingers crossed and hope this movie releases. Yay!!! If you would like to hear what the song sounds like as it is now, here is a link... http://www.ultrasounduemg.com/music/nsly.m3u Mind you, some of the lyrics have been rewritten.... GW/ASCAP

Well that's just so cool. I've never had a song in a film, but I wrote a series of short stories that were adapted to film. It was so cool to see the characters on screen speaking dialogue that I wrote. I imagine you'll be thrilled when you see that band, larger than life up there on the screen, singing your song.
Congrats
Who says I can't play the banjo?

Good going! I listened to the song and thought it was a good tune. Couldn't hear the lyrics very well, though. It would be interesting if you could post the before and after versions of your lyrics, to see what changes they made and why.
Award-winning, original acoustic songs with "the kind of lyrics that make Nashville writers salivate."
