HI My name is Josh Calhoun, I am a singer- songwriter from WI. In 2000 I was selected as one of 32 finalists to perform at the Kerrville Folk Festivals "New Folk" competition in Kerrville, Texas. It was a great experience for me to be surrounded by veteran performers from all over the country. Rod Kennedy's "pep" talk before we all went on stage to sing our two original songs was very inspiring. After that experience I was determined to create my own cd of original music. Two years later I have gone through my first batch of 500 cds and have shared the stage with such performers as Christine Lavine, John Gorka, LJ Booth, Claudia Schmidt, John Smith, Vance Gilbert, Susan Werner, and Tom Dundee. I am 28 years old and very content and satisfied by playing and performing music whenever and however I can. Thanks Josh Calhoun

Josh- Sounds like a wonderful opportunity and experience and I'm glad it was a catalyst for you to put out your own CD. Do you have a link to a site where we can hear your original works? Keep on keepin on! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/smile.gif) ------------------ I'm Just Plain Me

I'd love to hear your songs as well! Congrats on the sales of your completed CDs and all of your live performances! May your successes multiply as the years go by.
