This is the news release for The RAINN Benefit this Saturday at Central Park Grill @ 8:00. I'll be performing with the Cash Cows at 9:00pm. Also performing are Liquid Blue Idiom, Kathy Moriarty, and spoken word by Anne Huiner.

MEDIA ADVISORY:
LOCAL EVENT TO RAISE FUNDS TO AID VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT.
THE SECOND ANNUAL BUFFALO BIRTHDAY BENEFIT FO RAINN IS PART OF INTERNATIONAL BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS TO BENEFIT THE
RAPE, ABUSE, & INCEST NATIONAL NETWORK
WHAT: area residents will join thousands of individuals across the nation to celebrate the Summer 1994 creation of the RAINN help line, as well as the 39th birthday of singer/songwriter Tori Amos in order to raise money for the organization she helped found.
The National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE is operated by the RAPE, ABUSE, & INCEST NATIONAL NETWORK, (RAINN), and is the only nationwide hotline of its type in the United States. In August and September, more than 100 benefit parties will be held throughout the U.S., Canada, Ireland, Iceland, and Sweden.
Last year the Buffalo Bash was able to raise $1500.00 for RAINN, but that is ONLY enough to operate the hotline for twelve hours. This year, we hope to get many more people out to support this event locally. Live music will be provided by Mike Maffei & the Cash Cows, Liquid Blue Idiom, & Kathy Moriarty, and spoken word by Anne Huiner. Raffles, and an auction of autographed items donated by Kevin Smith, author Neil Gaiman and legendary rock poster artist Bob Masse will also be part of the celebration.

Hi Mike,
This is davey O. writing. I would love to attend but unfortunately my wife's brother is getting married on Saturday. I do however feel that RAINN is a great cause and would like to volunteer my services/talent to your next event if that's OK with you. I hope the event this weekend is a great success!!!!
