Hi Everybody!
Showcase Mon, Oct 21, 2002
I still have open slots between 8:10 and 8:55. If you have attended at least one meeting you are eligible to perform that evening. Please let me know if you need a time slot. I need to know by tomorrow evening so I can get a poster playbill made with your names on it.

(It wouldn't hurt to have two songs ready, just in case someone doesn't show. LOL just two?)

For some of our members it will be their first meeting. What a fun way to meet them! Bring lots of friends and family and ORDER stuff to drink or eat. We want to keep the owner happy so we'll always have a venue to play at and get a good reputation as a Chapter. I know he'll enjoy our music, so let's enjoy stuff from the menu. It's venue menu strategy.

The cafe is cozy and has some outside tables. The stage is small, but large enough for several people to be on it at one time. I believe the input jacks are built into the stage. Remember to bring cards or flyers with you. You never know who is there or who may be passing by.

Try and get there as close to 6 PM as possible. I know some don't get off work early enough, but many of us do. We need to set up the stage for sound and keyboard, and also set up part of the room to accomodate us all. Phil shouldn't have to do that for us. We should be on hand to do that. We also need a couple of people to become familiar with the Mackie mixer that Phil is letting us use.

Tune your guitars and have them ready before the show starts.

REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR CABLES and have them plugged
into your guitar so you can plug and play. Remember too please,
that you have 5 minutes set aside for performance. Watch the intros.

PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME AND PLAN TO STAY UNTIL
EVERYONE HAS SUNG AT LEAST ONE SONG.
"WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!"

This is the first showcase I have ever organized so please be patient with me. Thanks. Jean Bullock JPF Orange County Coordinator.
