Kaley, So far this is very pretty and touching and I can't wait to see the end result as I'm sure it will be suited for your famaily reunion and in honor of your Mom! You write so beautiful! Hi Ritt...and...Tom.... Thank you both for the return visits... I walked around Knoebels...last night..with this lyric in hand....Kids rode..I watched them..and the lyric..<G>....almost got ran over by...an out of control electric wheelchair..thankfully,.my mind wasn't off in songwriting land at that moment. Dear Linda.... I know....I'm a worrier on re-writes... I am thinking though......and....have received some critique..off the board..the body of the lyric was felt to be quite solid... ..so..i haven't made...any changes to that.... other than...maybe putting in that (and)...I think I'm down to just figuring ...that tag out.... thanks so much Linda... i think the melody is understated...and pretty......sort of old fashioned... will try to post that....and several others to Soundclick..willown'wind as soon as I get time.... have some that need words. best..... Tom....thanks so very much for that imagery that is really pretty....and i may very well go with.....something rainbowy....or... till i'm shining like the sun...imagery... for now..., this just came to me.... & I know it would please my Mom....so .. temporarily..at least....I'm going with let me run beneath the raindrops till These legs.......run...no more Lord, let me run beneath the raindrops..raindrops till.I run ..on..yonder shore thanks everybody...I'll get on here tomorrow and Tuesday...and contribute....feel badly have not done like....I should.... best...and thanks...... After all the inspiring and wonderful suggestions sent your way, I certainly cannot add anything that would be more constructive.
Just wanted to say I admire your appreciation for your mother. You will have given her something that no one else can and that is pretty darned special within itself.
Didn't want you to think that I was ignoring you or didn't like the song. It's a TERRIFIC tribute to your mom. Hope she enjoys it as much as all of us have.

Love this all the way through Kaley. Bar for the until they die line. Embrace life, and love it, 'til I die, says it better for me. sings to what I am sure is close to your melody, and doesn't remind the old they are in fact old. Ya mom's gunna love it Kaley. Ask her if she wants a toy boy to go on that trip with her too by the way. I'll be only 88 by then, and always wanted to be one of them.
