Gotta like this. So true about the "female" role. Family organization is a tough role so yeah, let Momma step out tonight.
A couple of bumpies IMO but its ready for music, at whiuh point you can iron out the wrinkles. Definitely worth the effort.
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

Oh yes, I was singing this myself a lot when the kids were small. How true how true. This one works for me. Got music? Idamarie

Bill, Looks pretty good to me too. Yeah, there`s a bump or two, but they are little ones. I`d probably drop the 3rd verse...but it works ok in there. Just a personal preference I guess. Nice job. Dano. ------------------ www.angelfire.com/music3/danolyrics

Hello, Bill!
Well, what woman can pass up a song about her turn!
You could consider moving the bridge to just before V-3. Just seems that the lines about dropping the fishing gear would flow better into "Come on be my cowboy..." A small suggestion.
Appreciate the effort in this. Good luck with it.

Hi, Bill, not sure how you hear the music here, but I might be inclined to just say, "mama's steppin out" and tying that into "twist and shout" on it's own and let the rest of the lines meter differently? If you use a 3rd verse, I think it should be more in line with the first 2, just a thought. Good luck on this, Jeannette

It is a true song. In my brother's case he gets home from work and his wife goes right to work. Later on my brother goes back to the dairy farm. Long story made short family is not in bed till ten at night with all the traveling and the work situation. Forgot to mention they have a boy 3 and a girl one. So it really is a busy time.

Hi Sweet song, Yes I think it can flow better with a little less song and some rearranging. Will edit as soon as I get time to give it a good look . Thanks for the feedback Regards Bill

Good start on this one, Bill! I can relate to the message -- and no matter what anybody says -- there are plenty of hours in the day -- just too many darn things we have to do / THINK we have to do, or want to do, to try to cram into those 24 hours! Anyway, I noticed meter bumps, but you already said you will be working on them. There are a few adjectives that could be dropped that would smooth some of those bumps ("get the kids ALL off to school" - dropping all won't hurt it; "LITTLE Amy's shoe" - can drop "little" -- just those kinds of things). Anyway, just my thoughts -- good luck with it! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/smile.gif) ------------------ Mary Lou

Hi Mary Lou, Thanks for the read and feedback Yeah I’ll try to tighten up and smooth it out a little if I find someone interested in doing music for it. Never finished until recorded Regards Bill
