Thanks for letting us crash your party, we had a great time. You guys have some amazing talent there, we hope you can pull together a very active chapter, all will benefit, trust me...I won't possibly remember everyone but...Elizabeth, I'm VERY impressed, your disc is great...Garrett, the same goes for you. I like that you guys aren't afraid to get up and play solo even though you're in loud rock bands, I do the same thing and have alot of fun with it. Love to see you in Tampa anytime, if I can help let me know. Carrie, stop being nervous there's no reason for it. Your tune was good and you performed it well. I look forward to hearing more. Amber, I'm really kind of jealous...you have the greatest parents to be so supportive of you, and they're absolutely right to be that way. You've got tons of talent, and the drive that needs to go with it. I've unfortunately forgotten the other folks names (I had a beer or three lol), but everyone stepped up and played well, it was really a pleasure to be there and hear you all. I hope to be able to keep in touch with you all, and maybe cross pollinate a bit, y'all come down to Tampa, we'll come to Atlanta, let's all help each other out y'know? Peace, and Thanks Again, Doc

Atlanta, Had a great roadtrip visiting at your showcase. Thanks to all of you for making us feel welcome. There is a true sense of comeraderie throughout the JPF organization and it was alive and well at this function as well. The Tampa chapter has been very instrumental is helping local indies colaborate with each others. Youve got a great start, now its up to ya'll to keep the ball rolling. We invite all of you to visit the Tampa message board and say hello or just check it out to see how much networking can actully go on. And this only reflects what goes on, on the boards. If we can ever lend a hand....... Keep Strummin..Al Alvarez Tampa Bay Chapter Coordinator Just Plain Folks

Hey Atlanta folkies, how are ya? My band caught a cool break today, Tampa's community radio station WMNF 88.5 put on a tribute to the Rolling Stones concert to raise money, and we were one of 20 or so bands invited. I showed up a few hours early, and got volunteered to do a 3 song acoustic set to fill in for someone who canceled, it was very well received. At 7:30 my band the Blues Punks took the stage in front of over 300 people (a big crowd for Tampa) and tore it up. We got a great response, loads of new sign ups for our email list, and possibly some good gigs at Skipper's and anywhere WMNF does shows. I mention this 'cause they support independent artists, and I'd be happy to pass on CD's and press kits from any of my Atlanta brothers and sisters, as well as teaming up for shows to help pull people in. Just let me know. Peace, Doc
