For example I thought an old song done in my kitchen would be a nice change of pace. 1/4 inch 8 track, and man with 7 vocal tracks + instruments you really learn how to bounce things together.

Sub, man that's some kind of kitchen you got. Love this sound.

I really enjoyed listening to this!
Not crazy about the words, but the music is fun, has a nice groove to it. Really nice job on the vocals and guitars. Cool background vocals. I enjoyed it from start to finish!
GREAT JOB! --Jean

That's really laid back and nice feel Sub. Tape is nice huh! You play mandolin? I can hear a folk rootsy thing flowing in here and there - work up another hook theme? Just a thought... Shine on you crazy diamond.... ------------------ Rock On! EbonyVault www.sideshowannie.com

Hey Sub:
Can I record in your kitchen?
Loved the musics and lyrics both. Sounds like something that a collaboration between John Lennon and Warren Zevon would have resulted in.

Sub, I tried to listen but could only get about the first 15-20 seconds (which took me a good 10 minutes due to the buffering). Do you have it in lo-fi anywhere? Anyway, what I did hear had a very nice feeling to it (music and vocals). ------------------ Rebecca Dale Peaden http://www.soundclick.com/pro/?BandID=326683------------------------ Relating to the rewriting of lyrics --"Son, it ain't done until its cut--and then it ain't DONE 'til its a hit" ------------------

Great job again, as usual. You are such an amazing dude. Very dedicated. Us hacks just use our computers to get effects.
The only thing that sounded a little funny was the keys - maybe a little to bright with how mellow everything else was - the vocals were OUTSTANDING. Reminds me of some guys called the "Modern Skirts" (modernskirts.com)...
As always, it's a joy.

Venusdelite,
I will mp3 you something I would like to email you with a question....
Hi L, Always nice to hear from you again. Yes the keyboard.. it was when the Korg M1 first came out and that's that sound. But all the bouncing I did is what effected the piano sound. It got brittle when I bounced it with six other tracks together.. My friend and i were always looking for singers to sing our songs we had a few then just gave up trying and started singing them ourselves. It has always been the thing we are worst at.. So that compliment is VERY appreciated. Where's your Stuff?
Thanks Sub

Been wrapped up in a few collaborations, a songwriting class and house chores (fall is always to busy in the garden!)... still got stuff up at myspace.com/libbysmusic, but more is on soundclick and you can't get it ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/frown.gif) . Probably not much you haven't heard anyway that's worth listening to. I'd probably start my own page if I had lots of good material... hint hint nudge nudge know what i mean... ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/wink.gif) Can't wait for the next song - I always listen even if I don't reply (or get back for a week...). Keep on playin... L
