I was talking to Val our Toronto chapter co ordinator about perhaps offering to provide live music to Rotary Club events.
As a Rotarian I know clubs are always looking to "spice up" their events, and you could potentially "tour the district" and beyond.
The idea would be to play for free, but sell your CD's to the public. Perhaps even make a small donation of say $1.00 for every CD sold.
Everybody wins.
Artists win because they get exposure and experience, and perhaps added CD sales. Rotary wins because they get musicians for their venues, and perhaps additional donations. The public wins because they get to hear great music they would otherwise not get to hear, and JPF wins from the publicity.
It is all part of setting JPF apart in the minds of Toronto area musicians which should gain us publicity and allow us to gain new members here.

No sweat TD, then just come along to play. I don't have a CD to sell either, but I'd love to play out for the fun of it and the experience... and if they lkike the music, so much the better.
Be sure to come to the next chapter meeting ok.
