OK, everyone, my Boyfriend is an exceptional Audio Engineer. He worked for A & M in LA until they got bought out, he really rocks! But, he doesn't know anyone in any studios here in the coachella valley.... Anyone know of anything???? Or even session work, he's a drummer as well. (plays guitar, and piano, and sitar as well, but doesn't consider himself good enough to be a session player on those.) Help, anyone??? Thanks!!!!!!!!

For audio engineering, your boyfriend's best bet is to just make contacts and meet people in the field. The LA section of the Audio Engineering Society meets monthly, and there are plenty of prominent and well-connected studio folks, and they're normal people you can talk to. Your BF should arrive early and socialize; the meeting starts at 8 p.m., but we also have dinner at 7. The next meeting is May 29 at the Sportsmen's Lodge at Coldwater Canyon and Ventura Blvd., in Studio City. Bob, Thanks, that's tremendously helpful! He's very personable, and shouldn't have any trouble making friends and stuff. <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by QSC_Bob: For audio engineering, your boyfriend's best bet is to just make contacts and meet people in the field.
