My 6 year old and I have a blast doing a "rocking" version of this little ditty but I can not find out who wrote it or has the copywrite should I decide to record it. Any help would be appriciated. ------------------ Steve West Steve's Website Steve's Myspace site

I'm not sure if it's the right one. If it's the one about alligators or something it is Eileen Christelow. Going back and looking I see she has one about monkeys washing a car and another also. So, I'm pretty sure it is her. Just go to http://www.copyright.gov/and do a search with her name as Author.

Steve, Go to the copyright page, click on search records, click on Books,Music,Etc, click on Title, and type Five Little Monkeys in the search box and click on search button. Make sure you type Five and not 5. Then just click on the ones you want to see and hit submit. David

Thanks David, I got it. From what I could see, there is a book called "Five little monkeys jumping on the bed" that was based on a nursery rhyme and retold and illustrated by Eileen Christelow. The copywrite states the claim limit to "new Text & Illustrations". So it could be the original nursery rhyme is in Public Domain. Has anybody else dealt with putting nursery rhymes to music? ------------------ Steve West Steve's Website Steve's Myspace site
