OK, well maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration. But I do have a new song that I'm really excited about, and I don't really know what to do with it. The song is called "If Jesus Met Mohammed," and it is a sort of "Blowin' in the Wind" for the 21st century. It's a socially conscious song, but from the idealistic, peace-and-love point of view, rather than from the angry, here's-what's-wrong-with-everything point of view. So if you are a producer, publisher, or artist looking for a song of that type, you can listen to an excerpt at my CD Baby page, http://cdbaby.com/cd/edperrone That should be enough to let you know whether or not the song will work for you. If you like it, let me know and we can work something out. What's at CD Baby is my version, of course, but the song should work equally well for a male or a female vocalist. Thanks! --- Ed ------------------ http://www.edperrone.com http://www.myspace.com/edperronemusic

Ed: Re: "If Jesus met Mohammed" You are right to be excited. Great lyrics and melody. In the hands of the right artist or group, who knows where the song might go? Best of luck. B-T-W, there is a new NSAI group in Marshall, TX and they meet on the second floor of the Pub at 105 E Houston St. across the street from the Courthouse. (North Side) Next meeting is 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 11, 2006. The host or moderator is Kathy Davidson. Nice lady. Dave Rice http://cdbaby.com/cd/daverice

Thanks, Dave. Sorry to be so long in responding, I've just been out straight for the past couple of weeks. Obviously I missed the NSAI meet, but I will see if I can get down there sometime for a future one. I really do need to get out and network more.... --- Ed ------------------ http://www.edperrone.com http://www.myspace.com/edperronemusic [This message has been edited by EdPerrone (edited 07-22-2006).]

Ed,
Just an FYI. If someone likes your song, they can record it any time they want since it's been commercially released. Once that happens, they can record it any time, with or without your approval or permission as long as they don't turn it into a derivative version.
