Sir Paul should concentrate on nipping this thing in the bud by campaigning to ban whack-a-mole from all midways.

I read a lot of BBC News for international news. One of Englands factories closed down for the jobs to be moved to mainland China. The new Chinese factory workers were being paid around $90 measely dollars a month.

So the Chinese workers sure won't be getting rich quick.

It is an international problem. And it is going to get a lot worse.. possibly World War III before it can start to get better.

We were brainwashed into "Embracing Change". But the negative consequences of globalization.. and the state of transition it is bringing to the people of the world will more than likely only lead to deepening heartache.

All I can say is "an ill wind is starting to blow" and it is just a classic case of history repeating itself.

Who was it that said, "people who fail to understand history are doomed to repeat it".

Anyway I digress, I believe in free speech. Look at how many people were put to death over the writings of Karl Marx? Or the reformation and changes brought about by Martin Luther? No not the one from Atlanta..

Now think about the internet with all these people being heard 'round the world with minimal sense of control.

Daris.. some good observations..

Hopefully the Western world will weather this storm and a new type of economy will be better. Maybe the future will bring us a new type of Industrial Revoloution.
I hope it is in Alternative Energy source.
Maybe we all start growing corn for Ethanol or something.

In the last few years, people have been living off of the equity they gained from real estate doubling. EVERYONE refinanced and took money to use for things, or just to survive. That party is now OVER, in my opinion. This is something you hear NO ONE talk about-----yet----Consumer spending is 2/3 of the american economy----just wait until that source starts to dry up as people's equity goes away for 2 big reasons
1-they took it already and spent it
2-the anticipated continued gains in real estate (nothing lasts forever and the MAJORITY is usually wrong)stop. Prices may continue to gain a little (deceivingly because of higher commodity prices). However, it has to stop somewhere. We are told there is very little inflation yet
My gas bill for home doubled
My health insurance goes up every year WHILE they lower what they cover (double whammy thank God I'm not sick)
My auto gas doubled also
Real estated went up 50-100%
Food seem to keep increasing
When people stop spending BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO MONEY (it may take another year or two to really see) LOOK OUT BELOW.
