Uka,
Why don't you start and tell us about the music scene in Japan?

Okay, well j-pop is still going but r&B,hiphop music is hot today.Lots of hiphop groups are coming out but to tell you the truth,I don't like listening to them. There music sounds so fake to me.Although everyone around me thinks there great.I'm checking both music scene's though.Japan and America, both.Music is totally different in both countries but there is one thing that is the same and I think that's that the competition is heavy. I noticed that alot of r&b and hiphop artists are selling in america.I've always been wondering.. Pop songs were a trend just like about 2 years ago(like britney spears, christina aguilera, backstreet boys etc),and then all the sudden,r&b songs come in trend. When do these things change?I mean who makes these trend?I've always been wondering!

It seem to me that teenagers drive the music scene. They have money to spend(not like when I was a teenager)and most of them spend it on junk food and music(with free downloads now they have more to spend on junk food and other things). What ever genre of music they latch onto becomes the next big seller, and the taste of teenagers,in clothes, music, food, body piercing etc.can be weird to say the least, anything to freak out us adults.LOL
