Hey - I've been reading the board for a couple of months - heard about it from the Don Campbell Band (they rock) but I've just gotten brave enough to post. My name is Chris Young, I'm 16 and an aspiring country singer and writer. I was in the True Value Country Showdown last year and that's how I met Don Campbell and his band. I'm currently in the semi-final round of Ed McMahon's Next Big Star internet contest, and the song clip is of me singing a song that I co-wrote called "She's the One." The reason for this post is that I would love to have feedback on the song from you guys. You can view it on the internet at www.NextBigStar.com December 26th through the 30th in the Male Vocalist category. Sorry I don't have a sound clip on my website, but I'm just learning to build websites too. This place has already given me a ton of information and inspiration. Thanks for letting me post. ------------------ "When I saw her on the corner of Tenth Street & Vine, I knew right then and there that I had to make her mine. . ." from "She's the One" about an 80's model Camaro [This message has been edited by ChrisYoung (edited 12-25-2001).]

Thanks guys for making me feel at home. S.Dee would love to hear more from you - especially about Fox Fire Records. They just approached another friend of mine who is a young, teenage girl with a fantastic voice but I had not heard of them before. You can email me directly at chrisyoung_37130@yahoo.com. Looking forward to hearing more from you. I'll be sure to check out the Lyrics forum too.

"If someone is truly a jerk, or truly is not deserving of any positive reply from you, polite indifference is the best response you can give. Do not insult. Do not slam. Do not follow the urge to be nasty. Simply be politely indifferent." –Brian Austin Whitney
