But there is a huge difference in quality of somg when the lyrics are equally good. Especially songs like this, sll based on the vocal, lyrics matter alot.

Who's to say what's what anymore? Elvis is still wondering if he likes Ai. Soon he will outburst against it. Cause he realizes it levels the playing field, by the sound. How yiu stand out is by having a great song, won't matter how its done.

When I ask for feedback........... it's not about re-writing the song. It's about, did it touch you, did you understand who the characters in the song were, were you bored, did it seem too wordy, did you like the music or was it too slow?
That's the feedback you get when you go to songwriter events.

OK since a few of you commented, this was an "actual" note I wrote to my 15 year old daughter who was holed up in her room and wouldn't talk to me.. (like teenagers often do).. and as I was writing it, it just came out like lyrics , bad habit on my part I guess. I sent the note to my co-writer in England, he sent me back a track, I sang along with it on the computer and sent it back to him and he mixed it. That was the old fashioned way back then.. lol
It's just telling her, no matter what she does, I'll always be there and she's always the best thing I've ever done.
