This is still a work in progress for me....mic placement and guitar arrangement. I'll keep working at it to improve. KL's version are the one's to listen to.
[Verse 1] You left me standing here With my heart holding back its tears And now I'm standing here Holding on to you
[Verse 2] I'm trying to recall The last words that I said at all Don't think they were goodbye So I keep holding on
Verse 3 I'm still standing here Minutes turn into empty years My mind is lost but my heart's Holding on to you
[Bridge] My senses are useless My body is numb, no emotion left Everything's frozen in that one moment in time
[Outro] Don't think that I can move Where would I go without you? I don't know what to do So I keep standing here

Tom Petty-ish maybe lol I like your version much better... Careful, you might mess around and teach Kay how to write a song!

I’m so bad at this song stuff that I wonder why And what I do do da yeah, forget it.
I like rhythm hand clapping, dance around, have funsongs I like cry in your voice songs.
I like short to the point stuff.
I tried on Kay’s standing here, cause is so frikin crying sad….but I couldn’t get there…too personal, too intimate, needs be careful w that in a public forum.
So I go where?
Bang on the drums, sing any old thing, have fun.

Plus learning the structure is enjoyable…like doing a puzzle and fitting the pieces. The prosody bit, though, is impossibly difficult, no?
